I have fond memories of my TI! I think I had the 83 judging from the pictures on wikipedia, but it would've been a few years old at that point. I remember desperately wanting the newer model that had the USB link to get the sweet Assembly apps! The first "complete" game I ever made was a simple RPG I painstakingly wrote on the calculator itself that I was very proud of.I'm looking forward to seeing how you go with this project, aiming for both a physical and digital implementation is very ambitious.

Timasomo feels like the perfect opportunity to get started on it, so I'll sign up and see how I go. -

I've only heard him hiss once in his ~14 years of life (when I accidentally rolled over his tail with a chair because I didn't know he was there), and I have to give him an asthma puffer daily which he dislikes but copes with (He likes the post-puffer attention and treats more than he dislikes the puffer).
All this to say that giving him pills is a huge challenge, and is generally a two person job to get the pill in the mouth and then keep it closed until he swallows.Sterling is receiving Solensia injections for arthritis every ~6 weeks, and I've seen a huge improvement to his mobility. It does mean a vet visit to get the treatment, usually a nurse appointment rather than a full vet consult but it's still fairly costly.

Is splitting the large bags of food into smaller containers an option? It'd be a lot of front-loaded time and effort, especially for 3 different types of food. There are sprays you can get that are supposed to help with stress and other issues that might help Nova. I don't have any personal experience using them and they could be completely useless, but it might be worth asking your vet?
Asking about arthritis might also be worthwhile given her age. If she's in pain on top of everything else she might be trying to get at the food as a comfort.Sorry I don't have any better suggestions, hopefully Nova will adjust to the new diet quickly!

It's not a solution by any means, but it might help avoid any injury while you work through the behavioural / food issues.
For food storage, there are child-proofing latches that can be added to cupboards that might help secure the bags of food in a place that your partner can still easily access.
For feeding time, is there a room or something that Nova goes into but the other cats tend to avoid? You could try splitting her normal serving into multiple smaller bowls and leaving them around "her" room, but you'd probably need to monitor it to make sure the other cats weren't getting at it.

I love that the androids seem to be at least partly biological, it's reminiscent of Akira / Evangelion and is one of my all time favourite things in creature design.

Both of us are at a point in life where most of our social interactions are online and we're craving more in-person community.
One of the things that is giving us pause is the idea that we may need to adapt to "fit in" with whatever communities we try to join. As people who spent a large part of their formative years trying to "fit in" before we found "our people" and became more comfortable being ourselves, the idea of doing it again in adulthood is somewhat off-putting.
The main concern I have is that attempting to adapt to a community might mean accepting or ignoring behaviour that I don't want to be part of. We're both into "nerd-shit", and while the broader sub-culture is largely progressive and welcoming these days, it's impossible to deny the rampant misogyny and other problems within the space.
Intellectually I know that if I visit a community and see something I don't like I can easily just look elsewhere, but the idea of looking for a place and not finding one is upsetting enough that it feels easier at times to stick with the uncomfortable-but-known. -

Unfortunately I've been running into some frustrating crashing issues with godot that I think are related to wayland / my desktop environment which have meant that my recent attempts to get anything done have been mostly troubleshooting rather than development. The game itself is a sidescrolling platformer / cozy game where you play as a cat who delivers mail to other animals around the city. I've got a lot of the foundational stuff in place, but writing has proven a bit of a blocker. I'd like to think I'm a decent writer, but it's also not something I've done much of, and I've always struggled with dialogue. The nature of the game means that essentially all the writing is dialogue, and it's been triggering all of my worst procrastination / avoidance tendencies, which creates a sort of feedback loop where I ultimately make very little progress, even on the non-writing aspects of the game.
My intent is to take a full month or so off work at the end of this year / start of next year that I can dedicate to "full time" development, but hopefully I will be able to make some progress before then.

"Think of it!", said Breed.
"Twenty-six people he had on his conscience!"The horror he seems to feel at the idea of killing so many, while being dismissive of the results of using something like the atomic bomb as being beyond the responsibility of those that developed stands out to me, and I think generally reflects the books thoughts about that mindset.

The pacing is interesting, the short chapters make it feel like I'm racing through the story despite not very much actually happening so far.I'm reserving judgement until I've read more, but I like it more than Slaughterhouse 5, which is the only other Vonnegut I've read.
I don't remember much of Slaughterhouse 5 beyond thinking at the time that it was severely overrated. -

If your IDE doesn't have built in support, you could use something like Dev Pod that is IDE agnostic (though I've not really used it myself)

I remember it extra fondly as I watched it mostly from a hospital bed while recovering from a minor surgery, it was great to have something long form to focus on.Spoiler from the final episode
The scene between Asmodeus and Zerxus is one of my all time favorite actual play scenes. -

I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's one of the most unique books I've read, and is beautifully written.
I started working on my TTRPG and have quickly discovered that one A4 page (even doublesided) is a very small amount of space. I've just about got the first draft of character creation down, and it's taking up almost a full page so will need quite a bit of compressing. I may have to use a smaller font size as well, but I don't want to go too low.
