Announcing the seventh annual Tildes' Make Something Month (Timasomo)!
Timasomo is "Tildes' Make Something Month": a creative community challenge that takes place in the month of October. (We've been going for SEVEN years now y'all, can you believe it?!)
The best way to get a feel for Timasomo is to check out our previous Showcase topics, where creators share their creations with the community at the end of the event:
There are no hard and fast rules on what you can create. You can make anything!
All of the Timasomo topics will be over in ~creative.timasomo, so if you're interested in participating or following along, make sure you're subscribed there.
All people who respond to this topic will be added to a notification list that I will ping each time I put up a new Timasomo topic. If you do not wish to be added to the list, or you wish to only be notified for the final Timasomo showcase, please let me know.
The Roll Call thread will be posted in ~creative.timasomo on October 1st. That is the official beginning to the event and is where people will formally commit to their projects for Timasomo.
FAQs
What is Timasomo really though?
Timasomo is a chance to create something/anything!
There are no restrictions on what you can choose to make.
Can I participate?
Yes! Timasomo is open to anyone on Tildes! Please make sure you are subscribed to ~creative.timasomo.
The greater Tildes community is also encouraged to participate in discussion threads even if you are not actively working towards a creative goal. This is meant to be an inclusive community event -- all are welcome!
If you are interested in participating but do not have a Tildes login, please e-mail the invite request address here for an invite to the community.
If you do not want to create something but still want to check out the showcase, let me know in a comment here and I will add your name to a separate notification list that I will ping for the showcase topic only.
How do I sign up?
Make sure you are subscribed to ~creative.timasomo and/or are included in my notification list (simply comment on this topic to be added).
On October 1st, there will be a Roll Call thread. By posting your plans to participate in that thread, you have formally signed up for Timasomo!
Didn't it used to be in November?
Yes. Timasomo was originally inspired by NaNoWriMo, the National Novel Writing Month, which takes place in November.
Initially, I wanted people participating in NaNoWriMo to be able to share their work with Timasomo as well. In the entire time it has run, however, no participant has publicly submitted any work from NaNoWriMo to Timasomo. Instead, Timasomo has gained its own identity independent of NaNoWriMo (which, after recent events, is probably for the best).
Many participants from previous years have shared that October would be a better month for them personally, so we moved the event to October.
Also, the event was so fantastically popular that it regularly upstaged American Thanksgiving, thus we only felt it fair that Canadian Thanksgiving be targeted as well.
What are the rules?
Timasomo is self-driven and its goals are self-selected.
On October 1st, participants will commit to a creative project (or projects) that they plan to complete within the month of October.
There is no restriction on the methods/products of creativity: writing, painting, code, food, photos, crafts, songs -- if it's creative expression for you, it works for Timasomo!
Though most will be participating individually, collaborations are welcome too!
What is the schedule?
Timasomo begins October 1st and ends October 31st.
All creative output towards your goal(s) should be confined to this time.
This week prior to the start of October is for planning. There will be a few days at the beginning of November given to "finishing touches" before we have our final thread, which will be a showcase of all the completed works.
Below are the dates that I will be posting weekly threads:
Wednesday, October 1, 2024: Roll Call Thread
Wednesday, October 8, 2024: Update Thread #1
Wednesday, October 15, 2024: Update Thread #2
Wednesday, October 22, 2024: Update Thread #3
Wednesday, October 29, 2024: Final Update Thread
Wednesday, November 5, 2024: Timasomo Showcase Thread
Do I have to share my creation(s) publicly?
Tildes is a privacy-respecting site, and you are not obligated to share your creation here if you do not want to. We'd still love to hear about it though, if you're willing to share process and details!
Is it Timasomo or TiMaSoMo?
Either.
I personally use "Timasomo" because I think it looks cleaner and because too much time on the internet has made my brain incapable of reading "TiMaSoMo" as anything other than sarcasm, but go with whichever you prefer.
The best option, however, is “𝑻𝑰𝑴𝑨𝑺𝑶𝑴𝑶” for reasons that are self-evident.
This Thread: Planning!
Post your ideas.
Give feedback to others.
Set up collaborations.
Ask questions.
Everything in this thread is non-commital! Bounce around ideas and figure out what you'd like to do in our communal brainstorming session.
Also, please do NOT start work on your project yet! Stage setting, planning, and other preparations are allowed (e.g. getting supplies/materials, setting up workspaces, etc.), but save the creation initiation for the 1st.
Get excited for another GREAT Timasomo!
In late 2023/early 2024 I completed a 9000 piece jigsaw puzzle and got it framed (with helpful advice from Tildes about what I should do to glue it together etc). I have about 50% of a blog post written about the process of framing it. I'm going to use TiMaSoMo this year as an excuse to finish and post the blog post, something I've been procrastinating on for about 10 months now.
Ok so I think I want to do something with sewing. I just got a serger from my grandmother, and now I want to use it. But I don’t know what I want to sew.
In the past, my sewing projects have been things I wanted but couldn’t find commercially. Namely a climbing rope bag and climbing QuickDraw (carabiner) storage bag. But I don’t really need anything right now.
I have just recently done a few small projects with zippers, so a project with a zipper would be cool.
My only thought right now is a trench coat. I love the idea of waxed canvas, and it would be cool to have a homemade waxed canvas trench coat. But I haven’t found any trench coat patterns that I really loved the look of.
Anyone have any recommendations? Either for trench coat patterns, or some other bit of gear I could make for myself?
Do you do Halloween? If so, the timing could be good for a costume. My build last year was the blaster for my daughter's princess leia outfit, but I did do some really basic sewing for the costume as well.
I'm in for finally finishing up what I started during Timasomo 2022. It's changed around a bit but it's still the same project - the world's first ever and only mixtape royal flush. Five multi-hour multi-genre music sets of new music (that sounds vintage) with almost no repeating artists and not one single track that isn't a perfect ten out of ten infinite repeat banger. There's a bestof 2020-2025 in there too once the tapes are done for sharing on ~music.
I reactivated my mixcloud account about a week ago and uploaded the final cuts of #9 and #10, they are both perfect. I've been working on #11 all this week and it's getting close - alternating male/female artists each track is an interesting challenge that takes more time. I finished #12 a little while ago, and #13 is a short but pretty solid draft. I want to get them done and all posted to mixcloud by end of october just so I can take a break from the mixtapes for a bit and get back to hunting new artists... my spotify release radar alone is at 3800 tracks of backlog right now and it needs a good spring cleaning.
Short summary of the mixes...
SV09 - Anthem : This one sounds like a 90s/instagramcore hybrid, is a mixtape about making mixtapes, and lyrically doubles as a quarter life crisis manual. Ideal format is a Maxell 120 minute tape, it's two hours, 37 tracks, 41 artists, mostly pure punk-pop adrenaline with some emerald city vibes to wrap it up.
SV10 ~ vs The Internet : This started as an idea for a Tildes themed mixtape and evolved into something any streamer or content creator will be able to appreciate since it lyrically represents their career path. It's a critique of the internet and spells out the solution. Target format is 4 LP Vinyl records packed to the seams, 40 tracks, 53 artists, and it's retrowave / funk / synthpop / darkwave / folktronica with a couple other spices mixed in. I am head over heels in love with how well this one came together. You'll have to make it past the devil (literally) to find the light.
SV11 - Cut the Light : This one's not fully cooked yet but I'm happy with the first 20 tracks and still putting the story together for the finish... need to scare up some more duets. It's a 1980s-sound ultimate breakup and get back together mixtape. I may as well do something with all the love songs I find cratedigging. At this point it's mostly about the order of the tracks and which ones I cut from the set to get it down to 3 hours. Probably another 4LP Vinyl but I might cut it to 120 minutes, haven't decided. No cover yet, but I know it needs to feature a couple with their backs turned on each other that are silhouettes, I'm not putting up with race-based comments about the cover.
SV12 - The Message : If there's a mixtape that's going to get me in trouble, this is it. The final word on the culture war... with a Tarantino styled (but heavier) mixtape of 1970s sounding soul, psych, and punk that eviscerates Hollywood without mercy. It should be (and probably is) illegal to have this much fun making a mixtape, this is probably the best one I'll ever manage. This is another 4 LP Vinyl set, 48 tracks / 56 artists and it's completely finished. I just haven't posted it to mixcloud yet since one can't re-order one's submissions, so once #11 is done this goes up right after.
SV13 - #church : This is /r/boneyard (proto-metal) material that sounds like 1970s metal / hard rock. It's also the cure for depression because that's what the heavy stuff is the best for. Trouble is this is only 88 minutes and it feels like I can take it much, much further. Every track has to feature gospel vibes and/or at least a mention of god, devil, sin, etc to be on topic - but no 'christian' artists because they almost universally put me to sleep. :P This one needs the most work, but there's acres of good stuff I haven't gotten to yet to harvest, these genres are very active with new releases right now.
That 'Scag's Bones' mix I mentioned for Timasomo 2022 is slotted in at #14 now, and it's about reconnecting old friendships. Probably going to be the most sublime chilled out mix I ever make, almost the spiritual opposite of this set which all go pretty hard. That's not part of the Timasomo goal though, but it's still cooking.
So, three down, two to go. I think I can get there and have all five up on mixcloud by the end of timasomo. The best part that I don't tell anyone is that this is all one massive mixtape (in order) and the cure for ten second attention spans. It's already better than any /r/listentothis bestof. ;)
I’m curious. How much different music do you listen to? Are these structures of music that is already your favorite intended to tell a story, or are you constantly listening to new things to gather for this project?
I have what you might call a debilitating addiction to music - always on, at work, at home, in the car, so every day is hours of listening, since around 1994. My headphones are as always-on as my eyeglasses. At this point I'm so far past caring about genre it's almost comical, they are all great genres in my book, it's the best tracks I'm after. I'm like a psycho apache scalper who will raid an artist, burn through their entire discography, and walk away with three tracks impaled on a pike to put in my playlists. Almost always that's upbeat or positive in some way, I don't have much patience for dull harmony or trite lyrics anymore.
Since I'm always filling up playlists with my favorites I have a lot of them, and I group them impulsively by moods, or eras, or styles. Eventually when the playlists are pushing past ten hours I jump in and look for whatever story the tracks are already telling. I don't pick the themes, those just emerge from the collections of tracks and I stitch them together so that the lyrics all read like a single perfect letter. Then I listen to them about a hundred times before they are finished (yes, some of those I've spun for 300+ hours each already while making them). The tracks that wear out get cut, and once I know the theme I'm hunting new ones always pop out of the usual cratedigging at me and I file them into the appropriate mixtape. I suppose you could say these mixtapes make themselves, and I was just listening.
It's more fun and challenging than a jigsaw puzzle, I guess. I make these for my own infinite repeat enjoyment and they always take me back to when I was making them, like a photograph. Plus I get to share them which is always a lot of fun. I'll probably keep making them until I'm in the ground. It's just how I listen now. Might have something to do with modding /r/listentothis for ten years and listening to that non-stop while doing it, got me into the habit.
That's impressive and I love the variation between human beings :) I have a small collection (<200) of the same songs by maybe not even a dozen artists I've been listening to for decades, but not near as many hours in total, because my brain sort of turns off background music if I'm playing a game or working or in conversation with people . Driving on highway is okay, but not if there's city traffic. There's only 1 country lane of bandwidth. So the only music that comes through is when I'm sitting down with dedicated music time.
listened to a very small smattering of Anthem and a few of your choices for upcoming #14 Scags' Bones, I might be set for music for the rest of my life. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your Timasomo.
I think the real fun is going to be in the upcoming bestofs. I file away an awful lot more albums than I use in the mixtapes, often just because they are off-topic for the current project. The playlists on my spotify profile titled '20xx Maybe' are the albums that pinged me as being above average in musicianship and in the number of good tracks present. They are split by year but contain all sorts of genres. I'd normally go through them and trim out about 30% of them for the must-listens but it may be better to leave them like they are and let people do their own cratedigging because my tastes aren't the same as other people. At the least I can promise zero AI slop, just 100% real artists who have talent and at least a handful of hits (to my tastes) to recommend them.
What's missing is ten more people like me who have totally different tastes but the same sort of standards, so that we can cover more stylistic ground and a much larger number of genres. When we pool all of that together, this is what happens. I'm ready to pick up with 2018 where listentothis left off and bring it right up to 2025, but it'll be much better if everyone on tildes throws in all of their own best finds from those years to cover more ground. I might take that up after the Timasomo is done, modern AI tools should be able to take an awful lot of work out of the process of making playlists and those massive album-filled link posts. There must be a way to automate most of it by now.
I'm just getting into painting my nails and I'm considering doing my first set of my own choosing as a nice small commitment that I can probably accomplish in the second half of October. The first half of October is being ruled by my upcoming elopement, so the very first thing I'm doing is picking out what color(s) I want to wear for that. That's an ongoing process, but I just have one more color to try and I'm pretty sure I know what the final choice is gonna be.
Since I'm just starting, I'm mostly focusing on getting the paint onto my nails and using tools I've never known about or seen before (I've never had a professional mani and didn't have access to cosmetics growing up). My order of some essentials, like clean up brushes, is coming early next week.
While I'm low-key interested in painting actual designs on my nails, I want to focus on some color theory and picking out accent nail patterns and stuff like that until I'm more comfortable with tools. I have 3 colors to start with with one more on the way.
Congratulations on your elopement!
Thank you!!
Congratulations on your pending elopement, and looking forward to seeing your nails!!
Thank you! I'll probably post the wedding nails themselves in a project update thread. The nail polish I'm using for them is tough for me personally, and I'm feeling accomplished just getting it on my nails in two somewhat even coats (been practicing). And by the time I have to apply it again, it'll be October!
I'm trying to decide what I should do. I signed up for two times now, but both times I fell through for various reasons.
My current options are:
also I kinda want to rewrite it as a full-fledged original dark romance novel tooSo yeah. Got a few options, just... Need to pick one.
I just remembered two more options that have zero connection to writing:
I can start learning some CAD software for that slide-out phone keyboard I posted about. It's a massive project and I have zero experience with this stuff so it's daunting, but this might be a good excuse to at least start!
So not exactly making something, maybe, but: I recently got a clock. What happened was my mom and I stopped at a house with a sign for an art sale, and the artist was carrying this clock to the trash because it's broken. She said she took it to a clock repair shop but for whatever reason they couldn't repair it due to some issue with the part...? So, I want to try my hand at fixing it.
And if I can't for whatever reason, maybe I can like... convert it to a birdhouse or something?? I'm open to other suggestions for if I can't repair it. Maybe I can, I don't know, make a diorama? It's a pretty clock and throwing it away feels like a waste.
I’ll be returning to my long-neglected blog.
I currently have solid plans for three posts that have been brewing in my brain for a long time, with additional loose plans for possibly up to a dozen more (not that I’ll be writing that many by any means).
I find writing on Tildes to be significantly easier than writing on my blog, I think because here I feel like I’m part of a context and community, and on the blog it feels like I’m just putting words into the void. So I plan to approach my posts there as if they were comments here, simply to get myself in the right headspace.
I've been doing some embroidery lately, and I think I'm going to try and make a hand embroidered patch of the "this is fine" comic to give to my sister. I haven't decided what stitches I'm going to use to fill areas yet, but I'm thinking of trying a long and short satin stitch for the fire so that I can blend some orange and yellow. No idea what I'll do for the dog, though. I think I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
I’ve had some writing ideas bouncing around in my head for a while. Hopefully, this will help me stop procrastinating and finally get something down on paper
I am thinking that in the spirit of leaning into hope for my upcoming embryo transfer in October I will crochet a baby blanket. I had started one and frogged it awhile back, but this is a nice extra reason to get moving again on working on my crochet skills.
I feel quite inadequate trying to enter this space, but I have two knitted sweaters that I'd like to finish, so I will throw my hat in the ring of creatives with those two!
This is a no-pressure, all-are-welcome space. You are more than adequate to join us!
Fellow knitter here! I'd like to see pictures when you finish, if you're ok with sharing.
If I figure out where to host the pictures I'll take a couple and share them in the other topic! (Too lazy to link, but you know what I'm talking about!)
Hmm. For various reasons I'm going to be a bit short on time this year. I am very tempted to continue working on the room I built the bed for last year, because built-in shelving feels like an achievable goal in the time I will have next month. I don't anticipate being able to do the whole job (last estimate was 75 linear metres of shelves!) but it would be nice to get at least one wall done.
It's not very exciting but it would be great to have it ticked off my to-do list and there are a few interesting design/manufacture challenges.
What I'd really like to do is make a smart weather/calendar display device for my kid who is currently really into weather, but that's out of budgetary scope for the time being.
https://dakboard.com/site
I have a colleague at work who uses this with an old tv (or maybe ipad) to make the family calendar visible for her kids. I think it would be neat for us, but the digital stuff is not always good for my wife's adhd, so I have not personally tried it.
I have an eink device which does calendar stuff already. It does a single line of weather now but space is a bit limited because both Wife and Kid have an increasing amount of stuff on in an average week.
I'd probably grab a little eink panel, like the three colour ones Aldi use for price tags, and put a little Pi on the back to do a dedicated weather device which can live in Kid's room or something. Although I have really been hoping to find budget/time/etc to make something using this cool round display.
That display is really cool already, though I can see the appeal of the touch display. Nice work!
Also (speaking as a dad), 1000 points for the dad energy of "more like FriYAY".
And an additional 1000 points for Super Pirate Gaming Sleepover!
I'm in! I need to sew some basics and need to use that as an excuse to finally figure out the configuration for my sewing area.
I will once again say I'm going to participate and then maybe actually post an update or two.
I've moved across the country and now I have a workshop, but it needs some work before I can actually do normal workshop things in it. My goal this time is to finish doing workshop setup so I can make things again without extensive "do I have the space/have I unpacked the tools I need for this yet" pre-pondering: flooring, storage, organization, replacements for a few tools I sold before moving, that sort of thing.
Flooring is probably the biggest priority right now. We have plans for a bunch of rolling tables, modular-workbench style, but the floor as it currently exists isn't a uniform height, so I've been researching self-leveling concrete.
Absolutely I'm in this year. I recently realised that there is no perfect calculator for my needs, and I intend to fix this. First time participating!
ooh that sounds really cool. I have a few things I would love to create or finish working on it.
It would also be cool to get into that whole DIY scene of like clothes and stuff. Because I think it looks harder than it actually is.
Also just in general I should start working on my project for school for my graduation. It has been a lot. I have been struggling quite a bit with motivation and energy to do anything. Hmhhh but we will see.
Now I just need to pick one
or twoo or threeI am still thinking about what I want to do, but I'll definitely join this month!
I can't decide whether I want to make:
Other things that I need to "make":
You’ve actually inspired me to teach my kid how to make a. PICO-8 game. It’ll be a good excuse to get some Lua practise too.
I'll probably keep an eye on your projects regardless of what you go with. I bought a PICO-8 license last year and barely got started with it, so seeing other projects might inspire me to try again as well. If you go with HF radio, maybe it will inspire me to go for a ham license instead!
I am in! Not sure what I'll make, maybe a video game again. I have some different ideas too and some projects I started and could work on more, we will see!
I'll be completing one (or maybe several smaller) of my blacksmithing projects for Timasomo. I'm hoping to make several small items as Christmas gifts, one of which will be a hand-forged fireplace set for my friend. I know I can make the poker, and making log tongs is doable but tricky (I'm awful at making rivets), so I just need to figure out the ash scoop (which might just end up being a giant spoon) and broom. I think I can get two of the pieces done in October, so I think I'll aim for that.
Alternatively, I'll work on several smaller gift sets that I have planned. I made a fork and spoon several months back and a lot of friends liked them, so I'd like to see if I can make sets to give away. I don't know if several small projects like that will count for Timasomo though, hence why I'm angling toward the poker and tongs.
See the rules above:
Correct!
And, as a reminder, there is no Timasomo police force1, so the rules are really just guidelines. Everyone is free to make whatever they like, however they like, in whichever quantities they like.
1. Unless your project hinges on being clandestine, in which case I'm sure I can muster up some mounties to help set the scene.
I have decided to categorize my workshop as clandestine for no particular reason.
Anything you make is automatically cooler if it’s done on the lam.
I've had an idea bouncing around my head for a small TTRPG, partly as a way to explore and expand the setting for the (non-rpg) video game I'm working on.
Timasomo feels like the perfect opportunity to get started on it, so I'll sign up and see how I go.
So I have decided that my project will be to finish my audio player I have been working on for months to fully working status. There are several tasks I want to get working in order to classify it as working:
There are a few other tasks that I think would be good stretch goals, which are:
Since this is already an ongoing project, I plan on not waiting until October 1st to start on it, but I will probably document the current status in the initial post to have as a contrast to the final result at the end of the month
I've in theory joined some of these in the past but it'd be nice to finally see one through, here's to this year being the one. I hope to finally address the electric typewriter sitting on my desk that I cracked open to check the internals. If all I do is tidy it up and repair it that's a win but hopefully I can install the circuit bending I'd hoped to.
Oh, that's exciting! I've been wanting to turn an old electronic typewriter into some kind of serial terminal. Maybe this is the month for it!
What would you be going for when you say serial terminal? My end goal of a plan was to install a switch of some sort to have "normal mode" with no changes, a "keyboard mode" taking the inputs of the keyboard and sending them over usb as a normal keyboard, and the hardest a "printer mode" where I could send files and it would type them out like a printer.
In theory I've worked out how to install the switch end do the keyboard mode but the final one will take a lot more work.
I've read that a proper serial terminal is very hard to implement. I want to try to do something simple with my SL-500: support sending characters to the computer (and to the paper as I type), and support sending characters, line returns, and backspace from the computer to my typewriter to print on paper. I imagine I'll have to find/adapt some terminal emulator for this to work. I haven't looked at that yet.
What I've done so far is to take the typewriter apart and find its circuitry that interprets keyboard button presses. I've tried to hook up a logic analyzer to start tracing things out, but I managed to short something out and fry the board. I've got another control board ready to go for a next attempt.
Looking forward to seeing how that goes. I think we're both trying to do something similar and taking quite different approaches. I'll be doing my work on my Brother AX-20. I've never used a logic analyser. I've just had a look at the chips on the board and hoped I could work it out from there as I'm not familiar with doing this sort of thing. Might have to look into how I'd do that though.
Probably going to butcher the explanation, but: the idea is you can hook one of these up to the different pins on a microcontroller or other digital chip and note the changes in logic levels over time. So, if you found the pins that change voltage when you press a given key, something like this analyzer will tell you exactly which pins changed and with what timing.
Just don't make the same mistake I did and accidentally short a chip's power supply to ground!
I've been interested in this project but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Hello Tildes, long time no see :)
Since I coincidentally dropped in right as Timasomo starts, I might as well take part.
I'm still obsessed with Yu-Gi-Oh! so, very similarly to my work from last year, I'm gonna write a combo guide for another favorite deck, Onomat Ryzeal.
Using my learnings from the Fire King guide, both the original version at the end of Timasomo 2024, and the rebooted version that released earlier this September, I should have an easier time.
That said this deck is much more open-ended, so it's gonna be interesting.
I posted earlier tonight about making a free roam area for pet rats. There will probably be more rat-related projects. The biggest is going to be making a tunnel from the cage under my daughter's loft up to her bed so the rats can visit her. My preliminary research into different tubing options hasn't turned up an ideal candidate. PVC pipe would be great because it can be taken apart for cleaning, but the joints are ungodly expensive, at least at Home Depot. Other options, like AC ducting, are cheaper but would be hard to clean and might have sharp edges.
Work has been super weird, so I might have to abandon Timasomo in favor of job hunting. But I'd like to be in the loop / on the list anyway.
I am about to harvest at least five pounds of super hot peppers this weekend, and I'm not traveling for work this October!
The concept:
A minimum of three, possibly as many as five, original hot sauce recipes.
Potential themes:
Supernova Salsa: Hotter than store-bought or restaurant-grade, but not so hot that you can't pound a bag of tortilla chips with it. Starting recipe, with adjustments likely to include garlic, some roasted tomato paste, lime zest as well as juice.
Hephaestus' Sweat: Riffing on this recipe. Ghost peppers, tomatoes, carrots, garlic and lemons roasted together, with canned chipotles for smoke. Anchovy paste for umami and salt, Chinese black vinegar for shelf-stable acidity. Cumin, oregano, and sage for aromatics.
Shaitan's Perfume: ghost peppers, peach jam, dates, onion, sumac, smoked cardamom, cinnamon, saffron, clove, ginger, star anise, allspice, cumin, black pepper, lemon juice and zest, salt.
Cibola Burn: Ghost peppers, shallots, red bell pepper, Spanish paprika, cilantro, rosemary, apricots, lemon juice and zest, apple cider vinegar, cayenne, salt. Protomolecule optional.
Black Magic (mole sauce variation): roasted ghost peppers, garlic and onion; ancho and pasilla chilies, red and green tomatoes, unsweetened chocolate, espresso, porcini powder, Chinese black vinegar, olive oil, ground pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, raisins, cumin, coriander, oregano, thyme, black pepper, anise.
Goal: Lots of bottled sauces for gifting, cute labels optional. Final recipes to be published here.
No idea if 1 month is enough time to get through everything I need to do for it, BUT I shall try at the very least. I've been working on a fishing tournament "app" for the yearly tournament my uncle puts on first weekend of November every year. It's been "in progress" for several years now, and I need to finish it so they stop busting my balls every time I see them 🙃
I will probably list my open PC stand/case model for 3D printing. I have talked about it in the technical.projects topic.
It will be kinda cheating though, as I have already made the main parts and just have to add a few more for complete build, but those will be done in the Timasomo month probably.
It's been a long while since I've taken part in one of these, and I think I'll tentatively record a few (probably cover) songs. I don't have a particularly good recording setup, so it'll be rough and ready.
I might also make some adjustments to the blog site that I did in the second Timasomo.
Sounds like fun
