I really enjoyed this film! As soon as the flip switches, there's a base level on uncomfortable-ness. A worry in the back of my head that something would happen. There were two standout scenes for me.
First is the bedroom scene at night. You get the resturant scene that sets up the creepiness. Then when we see them having sex her facial expression is blank. Which works on so many levels. Then we finally get to him waking up in the middle of the night. That scene is soo creepy and kinda scary without doing any jump scares. Inde's and her stunt double's performance are so good. Everything about this scene works.Second is the murder scene in the car. Even though we expect it to happen, it is still shocking. It made me jump and I saw Nikki running up in the background. It's so abrupt and violent. They show the aftermath to really keep us shocked.
I like that some elements of the story veer away from the traditional tropes.
The wish mechanic isn't a monkey's paw situation. Everything turned out bad because of the wish he made and how he made it. You can see in the forums that some wishes turned out fine. Like one person's mom wished to be pretty and that's what happened. The MC's buddy wished for a billion dollars and that's what he got.I appreciate the end where Nikki returns and screams "What did you do!?!". She knows this isn't her fault, but is still traumatized by all of it.
I appreciate that all of this is really the MC's fault. He a bit of a coward and avoids owning up to his feelings and actions. That leads to making one bad choice after another. It just so happens that he comes across a tool that makes everything so much worse. Which makes for a good horror movie. Simple, everyday ideas that turn extreme for one reason or another.

Realistically if they offered physical discs for all first party games for the next console, how would that change their sales? Would it double or triple profits? If so, then that's what they would do.
These things can change though. I doubt it, but we'll see

That would be another 150 hours lol. You can move the Pokémon and rebuild the forests. It would just take a long time. Bulbasaur can help move that along. As far as regrowing plants and trees.
I didn't have the ambitions to tear it all down. I wanted to restore what was there. While making some improvements. I tried not to build homes that weren't "natural" to that area. The beach was the easiest to do for me in terms of direction. Planning wise it seemed clear where and what to build.
I'm cleaning up the ash as a mindless activity for when I'm doing something else like watching a show or listening to an audibook. I need to clean up the higher are of Wasteland. I also need to rebuild and connect the other islands in Skylands.
Edit: I liked your pun btw 😆

Like in the Arkhan games, I did all the story missions and side quests including Riddler Trophies. But I didn't do all the equipment upgrades or the training challenges or achievements.
I'm too frugal and minimalist to just buy a bunch of games and never or barely play them. That's regardless of price. I generally only buy games I'm confident I'll see through. I've mostly been right about what I enjoy and will want to beat. I also don't play a lot of games and take my time playing them.
I'm mostly a Nintendo and PC player. I did get a PS4 for the Spider-man game. I love Spider-Man and that is the only game I've truly 100%. DLC, trophies, and all. Aside from that though, I'm playing Pokémon Pokopia and Kirby & the Forgotten Land on Switch 2.

I appreciated that the MC had that anime type of obsession over Hina doll crafting. And that skill set and passion carried over into costuming and crafting. It was that passion and his open-mindedness that Kitagawa fell in love with. I thought that was really cool. Their interactions and feelings felt relatively natural for teenagers and maybe specifically to Japanese teens, but I don't have experience in the latter.
I read that the last part of the story could be compressed into a movie. But no confirmation on that or a final season yet. I'm hoping we get an announcement this year

It was like chess. They both made smart moves, but weren't over the top geniuses.
I also have an appreciation for concise, well told stories. The first half builds the world and story well. Then the second half goes right into the rising action. The ending is beautiful and earned.
This is another that randomly came up as a short on social media, so I'm glad my algorithm brought this to my attention lol

Which is why more than a few have been spun off into their own shows.
Also The Roots are an incredible band and Fallon put them more in the limelight. Questlove and Black Thought are skilled and talented, but undoubtedly reached more people because Fallon put them on his shows. He seems to have a real interest in music which is a plus in my book.
I don't really follow Fallon, but from little I've seen of him on SNL, the late night shows, and various informal interviews... he does genuinely laugh a lot. It's probably played up a bit for the show, but not completely disingenuous.
I get that people are off put by him, but i feel like people are especially harsh towards him.
Yea he doesn't get political and he's an okay comedian at best. But he does try to make his guests feel welcome. As far as I can tell he's always been respectful and nice to guests. He doesn't try to mock or attack guests. There's plenty of examples of funny/good late night hosts who have made some guests feel unwelcome, to say the least.
I get that he's a target because of his platform, but there's far worse people that deserve negative attention.
