This adds that and two more triggers. I really have to consider this if the implementation is good.
The battery life is horrible though. I'm constantly charging up the ps5 controller and this has similar battery, the switch pro lasts forever.

Went through the entirety of BotW and TotK without amiibo. I considered getting the Amazon amiibo cards back in the BotW days, but I knew once I was done with the game they'd just collect dust, and once TotK rolled around and I had another opportunity to buy them, I found that I preferred having to find the armor sets for, say, Fierce Deity or Skyward Sword Link by exploring the game naturally, so I never got around to buying them still. I find BotW and TotK to not be that hard, and late into TotK when I used a dupe glitch to get a bit of extra cash, it really killed the game for me and made it feel too easy, so I would probably rather not use amiibo rewards.
Not really a huge problem since scanning amiibos is not typically something you need to do constantly during gameplay, and most people who own a Switch will have Joycons with which to scan them.

If you have a hackable Switch console (pre-2018?), you can also use Mission Control to use just about every Bluetooth controller on the market without extra hardware. One of my favourite things...

One of my favourite things about having a hacked console, alongside customizing the homescreen and Retroarch support.

This is all well and good until you need to scan an amiibo.
Unless you're like me and never owned an amiibo
The Zelda games have useful rewards for using an amiibo. You can even buy cards off Amazon on the cheap.

It's more about weapons/arrows and crafting mats that the amiibos really shine.
