I know that old school Gauntlet is the crowd favourite, but I've been wishing for a remaster of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy for years and years now. The original game is still fun to play, but the unstable ~15 FPS is physically painful for me these days. To see it returned with improved graphics, online multiplayer, and a few of the old systems polished up, I think it could be a grand time.

The chromatic twang and deep bass sounds of the FM synth really elevates Sakimoto’s music to a level that I feel his more recent stuff doesn’t really achieve. Those songs are limited by reality while these songs seem only to be limited by his imagination.

I loved Gauntlet Legends on the N64. It was so fun with 4 players splitscreen! One of the best coop games on the N64 in my opinion.

I enjoyed what i've played of Gauntlet: Slayer Edition which is a pretty nice revamp. Surprised there was no mention of it.
