Hopefully the various sequels in production aren't harmed by this, or maybe they'd already jumped ship? I don't often pay attention to the publisher.

Wish they would make a sequel to Slay the Spire.

Note, this is NOT Humble Bundle itself, it's their publishing arm, which is different. Might need to update this link as more official news outlets report on it!

36 people were reportedly laid off at Humble Games this morning in what staff are calling a total closure of the publishing company. Devastating news — dozens of people lost their job, and the industry loses more resources.

I liked this version. I'm not surprised there are humans who write press releases that look like they were written by AI. Where else would AI have learned to write like that?

How many employees did they have? 36 being laid off seems like a lot

Some sources are saying that the 'restructuring' is just PR-talk, and in-name only; they've replaced all employees with an outside third-party contractor, who in the words of another games journo Ryan Brown, "was hired to manage unreleased games + [back-catalog]... [Humble Games] no longer exists". Sad news for the employees of Humble Games. Apparently many of them found out they no longer had jobs from the news and press-release itself. Terrible.
