What does everyone think about working 4 days per week instead of 5? There seems to be some movement in that direction for society. I'm especially excited about these campaigns:...

I like it. I was salary but when I put in extra time as emergencies demanded on occasion, or worked the occasional weekend, I got comped lots of floating days off. I usually took Wednesday off or padded the occasional weekend if I was going on a trip somewhere. Having that extra day to sleep in was great. Not having to work more than two days in a row does wonders for stress levels. Everyone needs a 'mental health day' once in a while.
I'm all for labor reform. We always talk about universal basic income as if it's the only option, but reducing working hours is another mechanism to soften the blow of automation reducing the value of labor. I'd like to see both options happen.

EDIT: One of the reasons I was willing to take on part-time study at this time is because I have 3 days of weekend every week. I know I can use one of those days for study, and still have two days to do normal weekend stuff.
One of the best things I loved about my last job, was working 4 10s. Since we were open 6 days a week, we did a rotation which meant we had 5 days off every third week. It was glorious. A lot our...

One of the headings is "Myth: If Your Employees are Busy, You Can't Scale Back to a 4 Day Workweek". They're talking about working fewer hours overall, not the same hours in fewer days.

I’d gladly work 10 hours 4 days per week. I regularly work late nights anyway and end up having Friday off to make up for the time. So I’d love it if it was just the standard timeframe.

I worked 4 tens at my old job, it sucked Sunday Night, and you are dead to the world Friday, but an extra day of weekend is pretty good.
They're not talking about working the same 40 hours in only 4 days. They're talking about working fewer hours overall: 4x 8-hours days.

Does a 4 day work week involve 4 days of 10 hours or 4 days of 8 hours?
Well, considering the site is '30 hour jobs' I believe they are talking about 4 days of 8 hours.
