H John Benjamin is in the credits of this trailers as "Voice of boy narrated by", so is Bill Skarsgard not going to speak for the entire movie, or is the narration just for the trailer? TBH, I'd be fine with Benjamin being the narrator/internal voice for the whole movie, since his voice is amazing! I loved him as Archer.
I honestly have no idea but it would be pretty cool. H Jon Benjamin is amazing though, Archer and Bobs Burgers are two of my favorite shows and he makes them both what they are imo.
H. Jon Benjamin was also the voice of Dr. Katz's son on late-night Comedy Central way back in the 90s. He's always been great.
The best H Jon Benjamin character is Coach McGuirk.
I will not be taking questions at this time
I am formally agreeing with you in text, because the vote button just doesn't capture how much I believe you are correct.
100% agreed. And his voice also feels particularly well-suited to the zany action-comedy feel of this too. So I really do hope he's the narrator for the entire movie.
Going by the trailer, it's gonna be the whole movie.
Side issue, how does Tildes do spoiler tags? I rewrote this post because >! !< doesn't appear to work here. Do you have to use the details tag?
Yeah, unfortunately Tildes doesn't have a dedicated spoiler tag yet, so everyone tends to just use <details><summary> for that. E.g.

These are the spoilers!I'm glad I saw your comment because I just thought "What, this a horror movie reimagining of Boy Meets World?"
Can't lie, not the greatest title but it's good to hear the can of mixed vegetables in another role.
In the trailer, it says his character is both deaf and mute. So it seems all dialogue coming from the character will be voice over narration.
Glad to see Sharlto Copley in the credits :D Feels like he went missing after Elysium and Chappie.
He’s done a few small things: Hardcore Henry, Free Fire, Beast. He had a small part in Russian Doll season 2, and also has Monkey Man coming out this year.
I can tell it's meant to be a spoof of the Hunger Games movies, which I haven't seen and don't intend to.
The question is, how much of the funny am I going to miss if I haven't seen them? OTOH, I'll watch Sam Raimi on spec, he doesn't disappoint.
I'm not sure what's your (non) relationship with the franchises but the first 2 movies I watched where pretty good. I had no previous knowledge of the books and no one forced me to watch them :P
I mean it is young adult live action shonen, but it's pretty fun.
Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is great
I just don't really enjoy dystopian/post-apocalyptic stories anymore unless they're (skillfully) played for laughs. I'll probably watch Boy Kills World without bothering with the subtext.
Very general spoilers below.
Much of the movies takes place inside a challenge that is like some of Hunter x Hunter's many martial arts competition arcs. The dystopian aspect actually is played for laughs to some extent, it has a hysterical quality to it that reminds me of Fifth Element sometimes. Gritty distopia is not really the meat of the story, or at least is not my takeaway from it. It didn't really feel like a dystopia story, I'm pretty bored from traditional dystopias as well.
But hey, you do you ;)
Edit: it's essentially a battle royale...
Much appreciated, thank you.
