oddly enough, i have the same tweet ready for that absolute piece of shit.

The president on Saturday wrote on Truth Social: "I'm glad he's dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!"

How can Trump have been hurt by the report that he said "totally exonerated" him? Also, don't worry about Trump saying vile things. He has an excuse. It's just because he has dementia.

It definitely didn’t exonerate him. https://www.justice.gov/archives/opa/speech/special-counsel-robert-s-mueller-iii-makes-statement-investigation-russian-interference

As set forth in our report, after that investigation, if we had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said that. We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the President did commit a crime.

I think that was tongue in cheek because Trump said the report totally exonerated him.

Oh, I know. I just think everybody should always be reminded of what a colossal screwup that report’s execution was.

That excuse would make sense if he hadn't been saying vile things publicly for 50+ years.

I’m going to have to rush to the bottle shop before all of the champagne sells out.

The report clearly laid out several instances of meddling, no? It feels wrong to continue including the word "alleged"

If I recall correctly, it very much did. Not likely to be enough to have swung the election, but Russia absolutely tried to interfere.

The report alleged that there was meddling (and I think it's credible and that said meddling did indeed occur). "to allege" just means "to report", after all. It just means someone said it was the case, which is exactly what the Mueller report did. Of course, the reason it's included here is to cover ass to avoid defamation suits, since it's trivially easy to prove that the fact that election tampering was alleged is true (and thus to win or get dismissed any defamation suit), whereas proving that the election tampering is true would be more involved than that.

My understanding is that "allegedly" is used to avoid lawsuits. It's the only thing that makes sense for some of the mind bending uses of it, including while describing a video we're all watching.
