Like many others, I know him as Captain Holt. My mom and I have been watching Brooklyn 99, and are finally on the final season. This is going to make the remaining episodes bittersweet. He was so young, I have to wonder just what illness he had and how fast it progressed.

I mostly knew him from Homicide before B99 rolled around. I'm thankful we got to see some more range before his early passing.
I literally just put on B99 for rewatching in the background, he was fantastic on it. Super bummed out about this.
Same, I've been rewatching it and catching up on the last two seasons. He is such a great presence and grounding for B99. Sad news.

Damn, I didn't even realize he was that old, not that 61 is old by any means. I didn't know his other roles but loved him as Captain Holt.
