Jason Mantzoukas on Taskmaster!?!?!?!?!? I never expected that! And Fatiha El-Ghorri is also hilariously weird too. Her appearance on Big Fat Quiz of Everything a few weeks ago, with her constantly hitting on and gaslighting Jimmy Carr (while accusing him of gaslighting), was amazing. This series is going to be glorious madness! :)

Having said that, he also feels like he'll be a great fit and really looking forward to seeing how he approaches everything.

Yeah, they've had an Aussie (Sarah Kendall), Kiwi (Rose Matafeo), and two Canucks (Katherine Ryan and Mae Martin) on the show, but AFAIK this is the first American. Alex and Greg have both said they regularly get recognized in the US for Taskmaster now though, so the show is clearly gaining popularity across the pond (I'm Canadian myself, although I lived in the UK), and I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing more American comedians on the show as a result.

That said, I agree that this has probably come about because of the success of Taskmaster in the US.

On a slightly different note, Series 20 will be very interesting in regards to who they have, since it's been hinted by Alex & the two Andy's that they have something special planned for that one.

Channel 4 is the station that produces BFQ (and Taskmaster), and they unfortunately include that logo in the top corner on all their shows, even the ones shown on their TV channel in the UK. Taskmaster is actually one of the few shows made by them that gets uploaded to YouTube without the C4 watermark.
Oh, WTF. I have an ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor so didn't even notice it because it's so small for me. The channel owner seems to be a Vietnamese guy, so that is a bizarre channel icon choice. They...

That one and Ozmartian (ozmartin? Something) are my usual go to channels but sometimes they seem to be temporarily pulled down (for DCMA reasons I assume)

I've not been this excited about a line up in a very long time. Jason Mantzoukas, Fatiha El-Ghorri and Matthew Baynton???
Fatiha El-Ghorri is the newest to me. I've only seen her on Outsiders and the Big Fat Quiz of Everything. She was great on both of them.
But Matthew Baynton! I've been following his career for a long time time. Soon we'll get all the Ghosts cast on Taskmaster.
Jason Mantzoukas?? I hope he brings more chaos to the show.
Oh, I actually didn't recognize who Mathew Baynton was because of the beard he's rocking now. He was great on Ghosts. And yeah, they do seem to be working their way through the cast. Jessica...
Oh, I actually didn't recognize who Mathew Baynton was because of the beard he's rocking now. He was great on Ghosts. And yeah, they do seem to be working their way through the cast. Jessica Knappett (Series 7), Charlotte Ritchie (Series 11), and Kiell Smith-Bynoe (Series 15) have all been on Taskmaster already. Now they just need to get Lolly Adefope, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, and Simon Farnaby on. :P
Ah, that's probably why I forgot about her, TBH. She was competing for attention with the likes of Hugh Dennis, Joe Lycett, Mel Giedroyc, and Noel Fielding... all of whom have larger than life...
Ah, that's probably why I forgot about her, TBH. She was competing for attention with the likes of Hugh Dennis, Joe Lycett, Mel Giedroyc, and Noel Fielding... all of whom have larger than life personalities. I remember a bunch of the tasks each of those castmembers did well (or incredibly poorly) in, like Hugh crushing the one-leg hopping task and Mel failing to hide the giant ball, but none of what Lolly did that series. :/
She had some great moments, but my favourite was when she absolutely owned Alex at Hide and Seek, or when she just brought in thousands of pounds in cash for a prize task. She also had some of the...
She had some great moments, but my favourite was when she absolutely owned Alex at Hide and Seek, or when she just brought in thousands of pounds in cash for a prize task.
She also had some of the most spectacular doing-the-task-wrongs I've seen - she's unmatched until Josh Thomas of TM Australia Series 2. Having a team meltdown with Joe and Noel when they were trying to fill the bathtub was great, and there's another task where they had to move water from fishbowl A to fishbowl B without moving the bowls, and she just straight up lifted the bowls. "Couldn't move the bowls" "couldn't move the bowls" "couldn't move the bowls" "Shall we see Lolly?"
The only thing I remember from her appearance, but only because you mentioning it sparked the memory, is the Fishbowl incident. I remember the editing on that was hilarious, as they always are...
The only thing I remember from her appearance, but only because you mentioning it sparked the memory, is the Fishbowl incident. I remember the editing on that was hilarious, as they always are when someone breaks the rules or faults out. My favorite one of those situations was after Joe Wilkinson's potato throw though. It was absolutely heartbreaking. :P
I'm really excited to see Jason Mantzoukas cast for TM. I'd not ever considered him as a potential cast member but I feel like he'll be SO chaotic and hilarious. I don't know any of the other cast...

I don't know any of the other cast this year, but it seems like a good bunch. Looking forward to this season!
Yeah that dude is a genetically engineered comedy weapon. That energy. That voice. Any actors here struggling to learn how to make sterile printed lines of dialogue your own? Here is your master.

Desiree Burch is from the U.S.

I loved Fatiha! She was hilarious on BFQ (alas that uploader's watermark was distracting)
This should be fun!

Bottom right is a picture of Trump

I always went to this channel for my BFQ fixes these past few years. This Vietnamese channel seems to be new for these last two.
That one and Ozmartian (ozmartin? Something) are my usual go to channels but sometimes they seem to be temporarily pulled down (for DCMA reasons I assume)
Oh I forgot about the Big Fat Quiz! Thanks for the reminder! I'm gonna put that on tonight!

Wasn't Lolly Adefope in Series 4?
Oh, yeah, she was! It was so long ago that I had totally forgotten about her. I guess that's my cue to go back and watch all the old series again. :P
Oh no, what a tragedy!!! /s
That series was such a good cast, definitely worth a re-watch.

She's one of my favourites.

You cannot move the fishbowl.
Don't forget that Katy Wix (Mary) was also on Taskmaster series 9. So they really are working through the Ghosts cast.

Apparently Jason Mantzoukas actually asked them to be on the show, which is neat.
