Plus we had a storm of posting in ~tildes talking about features and culture and what the site should be like/about. New sites love nothing more than talking about themselves. Those conversations were so common we were getting complaints about there being too much meta on the site.
That stuff died off to a nominal level after a couple of months once those conversations ran their course.
I've always felt that the site slows down over the weekend but never really had the data for it until now. Interesting to see such a decrease in posting on Saturday and Sunday. Also, thanks so...

A.S. Thanks a lot! A small note to the Post during the Day per Hour graph: 12:00 GMT = 17:30 IST (not 20:30, as someone who follows cricket, I almost have to know the IST offset of 5.5 hours)....

Otherwise, the Post during the Day per Hour graph shows that Tildes is basically a European site as of now: most activity happens when it is evening in Europe.

How refreshing not to be so US-centric for a change. I've always wanted a site with a more worldwide sensibility. :)
