The question is, will Trump actually push to get it temporarily unbanned when he gets inaugurated? Or if users will attempt to bypass via VPN or use other apps like Instagram Reels or even other apps with a Chinese user base.
Edit: Other apps, like Lemon8 and Capcut have also been removed.

The TikTok Ban Heads to the Supreme Court Tomorrow. Here’s What to Know (archive.is)
For consumers, if the ban actually happens (as in TikTok is forced to sell to keep its service in the U.S. and TikTok does not sell as promised), the app would be removed from App Store and Google Play. TikTok would need to block U.S. users from accessing. Of course, one could still use a VPN to bypass that but most users would shift to U.S. apps like Instagram (Reels). WSJ claims that TikTok would still have some amount of U.S. users but it would be a "slow death with progressively eroding functionality" as the app would still work but ByteDance can't deploy any updates to the consumer.

Either way here's my list. First wrapped where I had no "big" known artists, which is crazy cause I felt like something at least >1m listeners like Duster or charli xcx would be on my top 5, but neither appeared. I'm surprised Big Black even came here, like I don't think I played that much, no album was even on Spotify til May. Stats.fm say I have them at 20th, far below than the rest of the artists that I expected to be here. Confuses me, oh well
mins: 35,629
artists:
- Everyone Asked About You (Midwest Emo)
- Minutemen (Post-Hardcore)
- Jeromes Dream (Screamo)
- Joyce Manor (Pop Punk)
- Big Black (Post-Hardcore/Noise)
songs:
- Everyone Asked About You - Taxi (Midwest Emo)
- Everyone Asked About You - Me Vs. You (Midwest Emo)
- Big Black - Kerosene (Post-Hardcore/Industrial)
- Archer Of Loaf - Web In Front (Indie Rock)
- A Minor Forest - ...But the Pants Stay On (Math Rock/Post Rock)

I'll give something in terms of being "leaked". Not really a book, but J.D. Salinger's "The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls," "Paula," and "Birthday Boy" is worth mentioning. Never intended to be released, one of these pieces, "The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls", was held securely at the Princeton University Library and was held under supervision if someone wanted to read it. Somehow, all three stories were leaked despite their security on a torrent tracker. It's been confirmed to those who had read the stories under strict conditions that the leaked version is real, so it's unsure how one person leaked it on the web. Here's a review on the leaked stories from the Guardian.
Either way, this is an excellent topic to post cause it raises great questions on publication. These stories were obviously against the wishes of the author. If a writer goes to great lengths to prevent publication, should we have to respect their intent, or do literary and historical value outweigh the author's personal preference? What if an author didn't have explicit intentions for a novel that wasn't published? Should we still publish that, or keep it archived as we don't know the intent? A lot of interesting and ethical questions on archiving older works.
