I don’t have a big collection, under 10 for sure. A lot of them are samey-samey, but a few are not. Pinhead (hellraiser), xenomorphs, etc are all kind of fun.
I just realized all of my collection is horror characters. Also have chucky, pennywise, killer klowns from outer space, Michael meyers…

Raw eggs get used for so much. Mayonnaise, hollandaise, aioli, chocolate mousse, egg nog, steak tartare, cheesecake, tiramisu... these are all staples of kinda-fine dining. Not to mention the cocktails with raw egg, sukiyaki hot pot, soft-boiled eggs, etc
You certainly need to be more careful, like not leaving raw egg products "out" for too long, frequently making batches, etc.

Here’s the secret: the habit of writing it down is the only thing that matters. You can have all the tools and templates and whatever you want, but if you don’t use it, or use it inconsistently, it doesn’t matter
To that end: Apple Notes. Seriously. I have an iPhone and MacBook Pro, and the notes just sync. They’re not markdown and it’s not open source, but I’ve given up on principles in favor of what I’ll actually use.

A few selected things:
- Guts - A short story where, if you believe the urban legends, people vomited or passed out during live readings by the author. It has it all... incest, gross-out, foiled by your own debauchery.. Highly recommend a read. Part of his book of short stories called Haunted.
- Survivor - A story about a guy who didn't kill himself when the rest of his death cult did, then the american marketing machine kicks in and turns him into a modern-day Jesus.
- Choke - A story about a guy who pretends to choke in restaurants, and lets others save them. He then gets those people to give him money, since they feel obliged after saving his life.
- Rant - A story about a guy who has extra sensitive smell/taste, then things happen, and he ends up getting bit by a bunch of animals for fun. Being bit by a black widow spider gives him an erection, and he spreads rabies across the country.
- Pygmy - An epistolary (thanks, wikipedia!) novel, written as a series of diary entries about a 13-year-old Chinese super-soldier going undercover in the USA. Written very engrish-like

iPhone debuted in 2006, by 2008 it was a major force. Mobile web also preceded the terror of the ad-tech industry. Phones lacked privacy features and it was easy for folks to use trackers, and a more walled-in, captive audience for advertising.
As advertising became more pervasive and aggressive, the internet as a whole suffered. As mobile users took over desktop users, fewer orgs pay much attention to the design of their websites. They all use the same generic-ish templates that are all mobile-first.
Desktop users are a dying breed, and companies are now becoming "app-only" for things that simply don't need to be apps. They do it because they can capture more metrics, and advertisers/trackers eat those things up.
Basically advertising and mobile web ruined the internet.

- Tree-style Tabs - One of the reasons I was still using firefox when everybody was gaga about Chrome. The ability to have a sidebar with your tabs, they automatically nest, and you can collapse. So I have all my Tildes discussions open in the background, they're all nested under the home page, and I can collapse for distraction-free browsing when needed.
- Sponsor Block - Because YouTube sucks without it
- I Still Don't Care About Cookies - Community-run version of an extension that was bought by Avast. It neutralizes nearly all of those EU cookie warnings.
Try to keep it light, since I don't want the browser lagging.
My favorite band released a new single titled Soul Capturer which should be on their album that's coming out in September. They've also sent out a single of their 22-minute epic song Defeat, which I find particularly beautiful. The vibe is generally experimental pop with a lot of analog.
I've also been digging Squid recently
And a few throwbacks from a recent road trip playlist:
