They can't do this without facing long-term consequences like being shut down if they refuse to follow the law and that puts the burden of anonymizing your online presence squarely on you.

Some ISPs also crack down heavily on it unless you're doing it the right way with end to end encryption.

Hell, I know how to torrent, have access to the right sites and even know how to set up the media servers, transcoding, etc for whole home streaming and I still use Netflix because it's still more convenient.

I disagree with their move to block password sharing but I never did that anyways. So until they just really kill themselves with fees and roadblocks that apply to me: I'll probably just keep my Netflix subscription.

Honestly though I don't enjoy AAA games nearly as much anymore because of their pressure to release more frequent (and more incomplete) titles.

I understand the business reasons that they do so but we can all think of examples of games launching without a full feature set with the promise of later updates, or worse, DLCs.

I'm not saying that's what this situation will be, but with larger corporate structures comes a higher up that ultimately doesn't understand what the people actually doing the work are doing. This leads to unrealistic deadlines in my opinion.

I think the game industry and Hollywood for that matter would both benefit from investing more in the "passion projects" and complete releases that usually don't get made anymore. Some of the best games and movies alike are somebody's passion projects that they had to fight to get made.

Just my two cents on the subject.

I was so greatful when I heard that the ban on affirming care in Arkansas was recently overturned by a federal district judge on all counts as violations of equal protection, due process and freedom of speech.

The judge found in favour of the plaintiff on all counts and set a great precident for overturning it in other states which I am hoping happens sooner than later for the sake of those living in those states.

I can't imagine what they and their families must be going through having to fight just for the right to exist.

Preface: I'm sorry for what I'm sure is the lack of proper punctuation, grammar, etc here. It's a hard subject for me to think about and type up.

The actual comment:$@ I'm the same on no contact. My parents were treating my partner and little ones like shit so I cut them off about 3-4 years ago and it was like a huge burden was lifted from me.

It was only then that I realized just how emotionally abusive they were towards me too. I just never saw it until it was in defense of those I love.

About 4 months ago I tried reaching out to them, to talk to them about how I felt and try to set at a minimum some ground rules for supervised visitation of the littles... It didn't go well.

My mother told me she's also been happier without me in her life. Also I found out around that time that she only had me to force my dad to marry her so she could get his insurance for her existing son (my half brother).

I haven't spoken to them since.

I started with Extraordinary Attorney Woo and have dived in: Squid Games, All Of Us Are Dead, Sisyphus, and Alchemy Of Souls are what I've watched so far. It's Okay To Not Be Okay is next on my list when I get the time.

I've also been wanting to watch Tomorrow but it doesn't have English dubs yet (I'm not sure if it'll get them at any point).

There are so many more that I can't wait to explore and it's definitely a refreshing change of pace from what I've been watching over the past few years.

Reddit should realize what too few platforms ever do before it's too late: Without the people creating the content, You. Are. Nothing.

It doesn't matter if the platform survives if no one uses it. MySpace still exists after all.
