A cool action RPG from the studio that made the Nier series, and also tangentially in the same universe. It had multiple weapon types and move sets, dragon combat, magic, multiple endings and paths through the story, and a weird part where you have to fight giant babies.

It’s the game that taught me to love unga-bunga with a Greatsword.

Unfortunately it hasn’t aged super well and feels clunky these days, but I’d love a remaster or remake.

That headline really set off some alarm bells but I can’t access the article due to firewall paywall.

    Edit:

Cooking with a gas stove in your kitchen can emit as much benzene into a home as second-hand tobacco smoke, depending on ventilation and the size of the house, according to new research from Stanford University conducted in part in metro Denver.

For me, the marijuana headline wasn’t trying to push a viewpoint and sounded like it was reporting factual information. “Left-wingers” was the indicator for me for the second, plus lying for higher salary doesn’t seem like something that would be influenced by political viewpoints.

I also missed the Hyatt question, I thought it sounded a little like “they’re takin’ our shampoo bottles!” but I should have treated it like the marijuana question: no clear bias indicated in the title so probably factual.

Generally if a headline tries to elicit an emotional response, I am skeptical.

By doing what we were supposed to trump got in power. The second time around we submitted to the broken bipartisan shitty system and voted for the lesser of the two evils but still the voter gets shafted.

“Major questions doctrine” is all about ruling legislating from the bench. I’m already tired of hearing that term and it’s probably going to be around for most of the rest of my life.

And I can’t help but wonder what the result would have been if Trump tried to forgive student loan debt.

It appears the dissents were because they thought the case should have been dismissed. Does that mean it should never have gotten to the Supreme Court, or that the Supreme Court shouldn’t have heard it and let the lower court ruling stand?

A ruling seems to make sense to avoid other similar cases in the future, but I don’t know if that’s accurate.

The legislators had asked the justices to embrace a once-marginal legal theory, called the "independent state legislature" doctrine, that would remove any role of state courts and state constitutions in regulating federal elections. The theory is based in part on the U.S. Constitution's statement that the "times, places and manner" of federal elections "shall be prescribed in each state by the legislature thereof."

"The Elections Clause does not insulate state legislatures from the ordinary exercise of state judicial review," Roberts wrote of that constitutional provision.

Roberts was joined by fellow conservative Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett as well as the court's three liberal members. Conservative Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch dissented, saying the case should have been dismissed.

Git really started to click for me when I learned the git-flow branching methodology. I’d also highly recommend a client like GitKraken; visualizing the branches really helps, plus it has git-flow built in if you choose to use it, and helps a lot with git’s more complex features like cherry pick.

Is there a specific aspect of git that doesn’t stick for you? Remote/local, push/pull, branching, stashing, etc?

My biggest gripe with those kinds of threads is that 83% of them don’t answer their own question in the post when asking for opinions!

I kind of wonder if that is a product of the internet these days; people don’t want to share their opinions unless they are in the consensus, for fear of being ridiculed or having the “wrong” opinion. For example, not to call anyone out specifically, someone asked our opinions on the second season of the Vinland Saga anime, but didn’t provide their own thoughts until prompted to by the replies.

Or it’s just an influx of new people.

I do not in any way want to incentivize people having more children as I believe the current global population is and always will be a detriment to the world and it's finite resources.

My wife and I are currently pregnant with our first, and this is my opinion only. Paid parental leave would not incentivize us to have more children, and I would urge you to think about that statement more. Paid parental leave helps when the baby is born, because caring for a newborn is a lot of work; raising the child is going to cost far more in money and time until they’re 18 than a paltry few weeks of paid leave would gain.

I know at some point CentOS was essentially RHEL with Red Hat’s proprietary stuff removed, did Red Hat also release the source for their proprietary stuff but now they aren’t? What’s the impact to RHEL users?
