The World Series, it is nice to see that the small markets made the WS, but what it means going forward is the most interesting aspect of this.

I own a significant library of movies and tv shows. Somewhere near a 1000 combined tv/movies.
Is there an app out there that allows me to “EASILY” create a Pluto TV style streaming app for my elderly family and/or kids tv shows and movies, that plays like “live tv”.
All the items are purchased off of Apple Store, iTunes, Apple Movies and TV Shows. For reference.

Whitewatermoose LinkI usually don’t play many games. But, when I do, I usually play with my son (older) Madden or Golf, or with niece & Nephew (young) (Mario Kart or Zelda). We have been playing Super Mega Baseball...I usually don’t play many games. But, when I do, I usually play with my son (older) Madden or Golf, or with niece & Nephew (young) (Mario Kart or Zelda).
We have been playing Super Mega Baseball 3, this is a great game and reminding me of older PS2/N64 era baseball games. Very customizable to make it more sim or more arcade.
We have also been playing Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered on NS2. WOW!, great job of updating this old game. Really good and fun for fans of the original or newer players who played Hyrule Warriors. This is more simplistic, which I personally like. But the strategy and weapon tree’s remain.

(More like a SubReddit, with different topics)...I think one reason that Tildes is popular with those that are here a two pronged:
1.) As mentioned before Tildes is more than just a tech discussion. (More like a SubReddit, with different topics)
2.) The community is respectful and engaged in serious or semi serious discussion on topics. Not full of bots or people posting memes or other nonsense.

Whitewatermoose LinkEven though I don’t live there now, I grew up in Metro Detroit. They couldn’t (obviously) name it Tiger Stadium. And 53rd Stadium is used in two other venues in the United States. (Toledo? and...Even though I don’t live there now, I grew up in Metro Detroit. They couldn’t (obviously) name it Tiger Stadium. And 53rd Stadium is used in two other venues in the United States. (Toledo? and South Carolina?).
I would like Stadiums to return to something like “Tiger’s Stadium Presented by 53rd Bank) or Tiger’s Field by 53rd, or something like that.
Or rename the streets. Tiger’s Field on the corner of 53rd Bank Ave & Woodward. Also, name sections of the Stadium after 53rd or the sponsor. “Meet me in the 53rd food court section of Tiger Field. Something like this.
Obviously this happens a lot more frequently today than in the past. Enron Field is a great example. Not sure what else you can do.

Whitewatermoose LinkI am in the US, but actually think there was a lot of great announcements regardless of platform. I don’t personally play many games anymore . Mostly with my older kids (golf). Or with my niece and nephew (younger). But it seems like Gamescom had something for all age groups and all different types of gamers. Stage Tour, Witcher, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, COD, EA FC, FFVIIR part 3, indies, Minecraft Dungeons 2, etc. Seems very diverse. Which is great. A little something for everyone.

I have always found myself playing games with quick play sessions for the most part. Mario kart, Smash, Old school fighting game, Sports game, or JRPG (where you can save anywhere). Then I just pay in short bursts with the kids or myself and turn it off. But again, i start thinking about things “i should be doing” with my time instead. And concentrate on that.

Whitewatermoose LinkI am bad at most games. Adult adhd, i guess. I can’t focus on any game longer than 30 minutes. Then I think about stuff I “SHOULD BE DOING” instead. Regardless if I do them or not. I need quick pick up and play experience or “save anywhere” games.
But, two trends. 1st person shooters give me motion sickness, and Minecraft. I used to try with my kids, 10 years ago. And couldn’t get into Minecraft or fully understand the appeal. Today with my young nephews, i still don’t understand the “point” of the game. But they love it, which is neat.

I actually love this site overall for what it is. I like the community, and the fact that it is small. Truly enjoyable.
I enjoy topics that everyone does not comment on. For example, I notice that some weeks no one comments in the “what you have been watching TV thread”. WHICH IS FINE. We aren’t always watching new things. But I am happy it is there for us to discuss.
The BIGGEST THING IS THIS. I find you all authentic. I would be surprised if anyone was a bot responding. There is no agendas, and everyone who does respond is giving an authentic response. Not a meme, or a one word flippant answer.
IMO, that is the strength of Tildes. I hope it sticks around for a long time.
I personally don’t even want to tell people about the site, as I like it the way it is. But that is counter intuitive. If you want more users, I would consider courting people who look up “social media alternatives”. It is how I found you to begin with.

Whitewatermoose LinkI never beat CV on Dreamcast. But as a Dreamcast owner at the time, this was my most anticipated DC game outside of the sports titles. This reinvention looks really well done and imo, looks much...I never beat CV on Dreamcast. But as a Dreamcast owner at the time, this was my most anticipated DC game outside of the sports titles. To me, this means more HD remakes or ports. Nintendo could utilize GameCube/Wii/3DS/Wii U fairly easily and N64 with more work.
This would seem like a quicker option imo of supporting Switch 1 longer.
A couple of games we had earmarked on Nintendo Switch 2 are all finally here.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort —- i tried two modes out this morning (100 pin bowling, and golf). I can happily report this is MUCH improved over Switch Sports 1 on NS1. This feels much closer to Wii sports resort. i only spent 30 minutes with it, but I think people will be happy with this game and you will see this become one of the NS2’s biggest releases over the course of time.
Fatal Fury City of the Wolves. — I tried a couple of matches. My son plays in esports in high school and likes fighting games in particular. This is a more old school fighting game and feels more aligned with SF4 than it does SF6. It plays very well. The menu’s are not as clean or simple as I would like, nor is the character selection. But it is very good port on NS2.
PGA Tour 2k25 —- game my house has been playing all year for adults. The game crashes far too often and some design choices are very strange. The 3 click swing system is just bad. That said, it plays a very clean version of golf and when you get into multiplayer or tournaments it is very good. The loading times and crashing can be egregious though.
