For the equipment for wine making, there are starter kits will which include almost everything you need to get started.

Really, any u-brew place will give you a good idea of what you need. I couldn't tell you about the beer. Haven't done that at home, only in-store.

I'm not the OP you're asking, and I'm not going to judge others for what they do when it's not actively harming others.

That being said, I can see how it's harmful to the cohesive makeup of our family units, which is an important survival trait of humans. One of our strengths is working together to overcome bigger issues (a lion, say).

Sexual promiscuity as it stands now, in general causes discord in our connection with others. Maybe not for you(the reader, no one specifically), and maybe you don't agree, but I think that's true for the general population.

So our attempts to shun it and keep it seen as bad, to prevent it from becoming more and more popular I think is our attempt to keep the peace as it were.

That's my take anyhow. I don't think we should treat anyone poorly for what they choose to do, but there are things we place boundaries on to keep us all organized and together.

Right now it seems like we're falling apart at the seams, because there are SO MANY differing beliefs and ways of being that are living side-by-side, and we haven't figured out how to keep it all cohesive. Look at The Handmaids Tale. One group looks to fix it by locking that shit down and keeping it tight - follow this exact belief structure or else. That doesn't work, and is horrible obviously. But I would question whether this anything-goes philosophy isn't taking us to the same place by different means. shrug Personally I'm a fan of balance. What that looks like I don't know.

I've honestly lost interest in this site precisely because of this aggressive approach by a lot of users. This is looking like a very unfriendly place to post, at least on par with reddit.

I was meditating on a bed at my friends house maybe 6 years ago, when I felt some fear come up. There was this sense that someone else was in the room with me. A big part of meditation for me is letting go of fear, so I did my best to acknowledge it, and go back to focusing on my practice. Well, then the bed started shaking. Still kept my eyes closed. Then it felt like it was slamming up and down on the ground, like it was being lifted maybe 6+ inches off the floor and being dropped. I kept my eyes closed. I focused.

It stopped, and I still have no idea what had happened. My friend was asleep two stories up with his wife and young children, out on a 500-acre property - no one else around.

I was watching One Strange Rock the other day, and they were talking about all the bacteria in/on the body and how we have to consider that for space travel. The mental defined boundaries that we've created really don't exist. We're so connected to everything around us.

I actually prefer coconut milk to real. We have no issue getting rid of dairy milk. Cheese on the other hand... that's a tough one :)

That's essentially what my wife and I are doing. We don't buy meat for groceries, but if we go to a friends, or go out to a restaurant, we don't hold off.

Like, even gardening, I felt bad pulling up brand new plants because I already had too many of that type. So how much worse would I feel about an animal if I weren't so distanced from the cruelty that happens in that industry.

My wife and I both are trying to eat less and less meat. Maybe one day it'll be none. I hope so
