    On the one hand I find the technology fascinating and would love to dive into the specifics, but on the other I'm pretty anti-social and don't think I'd really enjoy talking to other people for...

    It's just a hypothetical, for sure, but it sounds like a good premise for a Black mirror episode. The ethics of such a technique are very interesting to consider, how about airborne nano-machines...

    If culpability goes along with the brain, and we assume that a brain is a result of it's prior experience (perhaps some would disagree) could a technique for erasing memories be a reasonable...

I think it's pretty easy on the eyes and looks especially nice at night. Screenshot. I'm just running it through Stylish, let me know if anyone finds any oddities.

    I managed to find snippets of it online and it sounds like another all too familiar instance of American business interests, in this case largely the sugar industry, manipulating politicians with special interest groups, and a convoluted extension of manifest destiny to include Pearl Harbor as a strategic location in the Pacific. I do think that Queen Lili‘uokalani was very wise and diplomatic in the way she fought for Hawaiian compensation through peaceful, litigious means, she seemed to recognize when a fight was lost and did her best to make good situations out of bad ones. After all, Hawaii has done very well for itself compared to other nations and territories that have had the U.S.A meddle in their affairs.

    I really want to get into astronomy but I want to build my own dobsonian first to learn about optics. If anyone has any books or resources I would love to hear about them.

    Right? The size of this community makes it kinda magical right now. I'm having a good time, I hope that an influx of users can be managed effectively in the future.
