I think players would get frustrated with how action heavy it is if even mobs were a slog because you were way underdeveloped. For this entry, I accept it, they certainly highlighted the action often. A point on side quests, I agree people make way too much drama over this. Many of them are fairly generic, but even those have purpose in world building. I think of the first one I saw complaints of, the early one delivering soup to 3 patrons. It seems silly and generic, but when you listen to the dialog, the Bearers you are serving are told that they no longer have to "wait" to be told to eat. They are extremely grateful that THEY are being served by someone else and not the other way around. It's very sad and heartbreaking to remember these people are slaves and are mistreated and abused, and they are being saved by Clive/Cid and the rest of the outlaws.

I wanted to waste my time on Reddit finding good info on my interests, not spend all my life on the site. That's probably why j almost never used r/all or r/popular. I just wanted what I wanted, not what was being "pushed" or fed to me.

They have always had a sense of "you'll adapt to me", but once the gameplay clicks it's so good. Then once you start to get the parts system and tuning it opens up so much depending on your playstyle. Want a tank treading the landscape with a bazooka on one shoulder, a minigun in one hand, and a laser sword on the other? Sure, go for it. Maybe you want a speedy bipedal glass cannon that will run in and nuke things with dual laser swords? No problem, figure it out. Maybe a spider leg style tank with a nuke on your back? Do you have a generator big enough to power the thing, then great! The background story stuff is dark, but I was maybe too young to really get into that, but as an older gamer I definitely appreciate it more.

The VA so far has absolutely sold me along with the music. Feels like they treated it with respect and not as a simple cash grab, and added to it between the PSP remake and then to here. Now we need a FFT Reborn style please, use WotL as the base and I'm in!

iouapizza Yeah, the one person I invited was actually interested in checking something new out, and I think they will take to it since I've seen the groups cover a pretty broad spectrum of interests.Yeah, the one person I invited was actually interested in checking something new out, and I think they will take to it since I've seen the groups cover a pretty broad spectrum of interests.

The music, the dialogue, it all hit that same spot in my brain it seems. Only a few missions in, but super looking forward to diving into this one and playing around with classes and setups.
Also about to start a NG+ on Miles Morales PS5 since I just finished my NG+ on Remastered. I'm waiting for when I'm done with work because my daughter loves to watch me play as "Spins" from the Disney show. Really looking forward to Spider-Man 2.
Just really enjoying picking through interesting games now that I dropped Destiny 2 after Lightfall. I needed new things and experiences again in games, and D2 just sucks up too much time to get you staying engaged.

As much as I don't like some of the things like sunsetting of armor in particular, the game play of D2 is always fun and snappy overall. I really wish they would relax the amount of materials needed for masterworking armor and weapons. I think more players would be engaged overall if they relaxed.some of the grinding in the game and made it more rewarding. I'm very cautious about this next expansion, but I'll keep my eyes on it before I decide to pick it up.
Ghost has been such an awesome experience, improbably about a 1/3 to 1/2 of Act 2 and it's been very engaging. A pretty fluid combat system, and a stealth system that's more designed it feels around being fast and brutal, rather than slow and plodding. Voice acting has been great in English and Japanese. I rarely buy many games anymore, with having a kid, work, and marriage. I do not regret one bit picking this up and working my way through it.
I do have Gran Turismo Sport lined up to play next, because I haven't played one since the original PlayStation, so I'm looking forward to that soon!

I'm hoping that with a change of administration that there is full enforcement on those responsible for creating so much havoc in our country. There needs to be consequences for these laws being broken, and there needs to be reforms to make the "norms" actual laws with teeth. SDNY seems to be leading the charge on this, but I would love to see a Biden administration have an AG that goes hard on the multitude of grifters, con artists, and criminals that have plagued us these last 4 years.
I feel very much the same. Most if not all the side quests have some level of world or character building. Since they ditched the RPG side so hard the mats/crafting/inventory was never a draw, the Eikons and combat were. Now I would have loved to see more buff/debuff effects with the Eikon abilities, but it's not a deal breaker for me.
