They are almost as polluting as gas cars due to their extreme weight cancelling out the extra efficiency. Since most electricity is still grey it means that an e car is just as polluting. Even worse is the pollution from making them (also we don't have enough lithium on the entire planet to make enough!). Not only was there no proof of this, this obviously also furthers the interests of corporations. Our press is bought and our entire society is rife with the capitalist mindset.
Honestly it makes me feel so powerless, so many people suffer because a few people need to buy a 3rd yacht or a 4th BMW. Why are they like this? Do they feel no empathy for others? Only because the "shareholders" need more money is it okay to fuck over 90%+ of people? I just cannot comprehend them at all.

All in all this leaves such a sour taste in my mouth because this means that every major social media platform has now successfully enshittificated. With twitter going earlier this year that means that there truly is no large website left for the old people of the internet to feel welcome meaning that we will probably see most power users move either here or lemmy.
It's been an honour everyone, truly an end of an era for me and many others

Whenever a really good sniper joins a casual server it just devolves into "please kill that ultra good sniper or we can't have fun" which always...Yeah I agree with you from an anecdotal standpoint. Whenever a really good sniper joins a casual server it just devolves into "please kill that ultra good sniper or we can't have fun" which always results in the opposite team losing since they're forced to hard focus the sniper. And since it's casual we can't say "just focus a subset of your team" we both know that won't happen. As you said as an individual there is so little counter play to sniper that he's extremely frustrating to play against. There's no other class in the game that can shut down a casual game as hard as a good sniper. Add to that that it just doesn't feel fair getting insta killed across the map. Spy as you mentioned feels more like a personal mistake if you die to him and you can respect that. But with sniper? "Oh you should've walked better" doesn't work against god tier snipers lol.
I'd personally enjoy the game more if quick scoping was nerfed since that seems to be the major issue with sniper, if he gets surprised by say a spy or a scout and he's good enough he can still win due to quickscoping.

Sadly whenever I update my PC it completely breaks as explorer patcher is windows patch dependent... I'm also strongly considering moving to Linux but I think it needs a little more time. Whenever my friend is over and some multiplayer game breaks again because Linux doesn't work with windows it makes me sad, but it's reality.

Sneakily stealing all your personal data and there's nothing you can do about it or know about it. Even though I don't like windows at least you can see what it's doing to a certain extent when it's on a physical device.

My OS is lagging not because of my hardware but because of my internet. Even with internet : input lag. There's a thousand reasons I can imagine why this is a bad idea
This reads as some Microsoft manager decided that the cloud is cool because buzz words.

lightning2x Link ParentAny faction that is not chaos spacies or the normal spacies will usually be kind of slept on by GW as they aren't the "poster boys" but that being said you should just pick whatever is cool / you...Any faction that is not chaos spacies or the normal spacies will usually be kind of slept on by GW as they aren't the "poster boys" but that being said you should just pick whatever is cool / you want to play and not care about any tier lists, availability etc. I'd argue that if one of the factions you pick (such as the death guard, arguably the worst in the current state of the game) is that bad then your opponent in a casual setting should account for that by balancing your match if he's not a twerp. That being said if you /do/ care about tier lists both drukhari and chaos daemons are currently around the same strength, so it doesn't really matter.

lightning2x LinkI really feel this. Back when I was a teenager I'd obsessively play PVP games like Team Fortress 2, CS:GO, Overwatch and Fortnite. But one day in Overwatch I was thinking to myself while extremely...I really feel this. Back when I was a teenager I'd obsessively play PVP games like Team Fortress 2, CS:GO, Overwatch and Fortnite. But one day in Overwatch I was thinking to myself while extremely angry "Why do I even play these competitive games if I am not having fun". Every since I've sworn off competitive gaming and just play mostly single player and co op experiences. I game a lot less nowadays but sometimes a game gets me hooked again and I'll play it fully (currently Fire Emblem 7).
But the majority of games i play nowadays are just out of boredom and as filler for me that is currently Rocket League and Mahjong Soul (yes I know haha). I always feel bad when I play games like these though as I feel like I haven't been productive

lightning2x LinkI mainly make electronic music on a DAW since I'm not very good with instruments (I can just barely play some simple songs on the piano). I compose game esque music since that's where my interests...I mainly make electronic music on a DAW since I'm not very good with instruments (I can just barely play some simple songs on the piano). I compose game esque music since that's where my interests lie. I also for some reason really like making orchestral music even though I don't listen to it myself. My workflow is usually picking one part of the song to compose first (usually the chord progression) then composing a 2 bar loop that will later become the chorus. After that I just keep adding sections / variety to make the main idea more interesting.
For my learning points I still think my melodies suck, but I have been just throwing down random simple chord progressions and putting a melody over it since my teacher said doing it more causes you to improve. Furthermore I'm way too much of a perfectionist so it's very hard for me to start working on a song because it /has/ to be better than the last one which sucks lol.

What I find hardest on this topic is that when you learn the real life name of someone you only knew online by their username you will probably keep calling them their username for a long time lol. Know some real life people that still call my lightning instead of my real name
I disagree that we should make cars emit less. Cars inherently have low efficiency leading to their high pollution output. We should give people the option to take cars if there's really no other mode of transport available.
We give all these exceptions to EVs like they're the solution, they're just a way for car manufacturers to keep high vehicle output. There's barely any country with a good train system. The only two that would maybe qualify would be Switzerland and Japan but even there they still overinvest in car infrastructure.
