I have no reason to look into other paid email providers, since everything works well and I can use whichever client I like.

Regardless of your opinion about climate change (though I think denialists to be pretty darn delusional at this point) we can all agree that the wisest course of action here is to listen to the scientists, assume climate change to be anthropogenic, and start making drastic changes to the way we relate to nature.

They have a proper schedule packed full of shows, 24/7, featuring artists and selectors from all over the world, early bird/breakfast shows, featured mixes/editorial picks, “infinite mixtapes” sorted by genre, a proper iOS/Android app, and a vibrant community on Discord. I basically stopped listening to music in any other way since I found out about it about 5 years ago.

Partly set in 1930 Moscow, where the Devil and his entourage (featuring a black, vodka-drinking, chess-playing, talking black cat) disrupt society, and partly in ancient Jerusalem, portraying Pontius Pilate and the crucifixion of Jesus. It’s the quintessential WTF book, and a timeless literary masterpiece.

Yep, that was exactly the problem for me on the occasions where I voluntarily stopped reading news in the past. Friends, family or coworkers would discuss some major recent event I heard absolutely nothing about, and had to either fake knowledge or appear completely clueless and unconcerned with the state of the world. Not an image of me that I like to project to others.

Always loved bleak detective murder stories, always loved nerdy sci-fi, and this book is an improbable though pretty much perfect blend of the two. And I really dig Sweterlitsch's understated writing style, reminded me a bit of Cormac McCarthy.

They want the adrenaline spikes of shooty-bang-bang, or the sweet dopamine hits from filling up status bars.

Is there a show focused on current affairs that you would feel like recommending? I'm looking for reportages, in-depth interviews, and high-quality commentary, maybe not overly US-focused, the more international the better. The only one I know is VICE News, which leaves a bit to be desired sometimes. Grateful for any recommendation!

As a huge fan of the original Half-Life game (1997), it's needless to say that I'm loving it.
On a side note, GeForce Now has been the finding of the year for me. As an Apple user with no interest in spending big bucks on a Windows gaming machine, or on a console/TV setup, I had pretty much given up on gaming and just played the few titles available for Mac once in a while as they came out (like Firewatch or Inside). With GeForce Now I'm able to play a lot of titles available only for Windows at maximum graphic settings, and don't even have to download GB after GB on my meager 120 GB SSD to install things locally. I just buy it on Steam and press play in GeForce Now, and off I go. I'm honestly still stoked by the possibilities this has opened up for me. Had no idea cloud gaming was this advanced!
Very Apple-centric perspective: I canceled my NordVPN subscription right after Apple released iCloud Private Relay, and I've been using exclusively that ever since. It's always active, adds no latency whatsoever (none that I could notice anyways), works seamlessly on all my Apple devices requiring no additional software, and it's included in my iCloud+ subscription, which I need anyway. Of course it only works in Safari, but that suits me perfectly since I only use Safari and don't need IP-masking anywhere else.
I might be worth mentioning that I no longer torrent locally and happily pay for my put.io subscription. I could not imagine going back to local torrenting after using put.io... it's just that good.
