I'd assume they (Apple/Google) would just push a notification/popup asking if you want to opt-in, and if so, enable/install your local contact tracing app. But yes, if they don't, and the user has to seek it out manually via the app store, there's no way this could ever be effective.

It was forked from WebKit, but it's been almost 6 years now so I'd be surprised if the code (for new features at least) isn't significantly different.

When I try to access tildes.net over an IPv6-enabled network, the connection simply times out.

Running ping -4 tildes.net responds but ping -6 tildes.net times out. I've tested this on multiple networks (residential and commercial) but it doesn't work on any.

It looks like tildes.net has an AAAA record but the IP doesn't work.

    Can anyone reproduce?

I appreciate the "retro underground hacker" look, but yikes - that shadowed, white monospace text on a grey background is not the easiest thing to read.

Agreed, the protector should have been integrated better, as it looks like even if the user doesn't try to remove it dust/particles will still build up on the edges of it.

The "protective film" is basically a polymer layer over the display panel. If the OLED panel was directly exposed, it would be extremely delicate and probably break very fast, so they put a layer over it. That's why the few reviewers who removed the film had their display break soon after.

This film is plastic (and needs to be; because it's a foldable screen), so obviously it scratches easily. I believe this is why they call it a "protective" film, because it can be replaced if damaged - but this needs to be done with the proper tools and in the proper environment (i.e. by Samsung), not peeled off by the user.

It's interesting how Discord doesn't have IPv6 actually - they use Cloudflare so it's automatic. That means they disabled it manually.

What's cool is HTTPS is actually faster than HTTP (at least after the initial negotiation): https://www.httpvshttps.com. With HTTP/2 and TLS 1.3 0RTT it should be even faster in the future.

Luckily all of your git knowledge is transferable. And considering GitHub Pages is just Jekyll, you can easily convert your static blog over to GitLab Pages or even self-host it.
