I still need to finish P5R. I've started the game at least 3 times. And really enjoy it. But it is so long and it's hard to make such a commitment. But I love SRPGs and P5T would be more likely to hold my interest. I might have to get Game Pass again when these come out to try out. But between FFXVI in less than 2 weeks I just don't know if I'll ever find the time.
Persona 3 helped me through a really bad spot in my life so it could be the worst persona game and it would still be my favorite. I'm so happy to get to play it again after all these years. I hope they keep all the little interactions that were missing from the portable version, like the scenes where the gang hangs around a playground and stuff like that. I wish they would include the fem mc route as well so that we would get the definitive version of the game.

For anyone who can't wait, the Persona 3 FES HD Overhaul Project and New Moon balance patch are supposed to be quite good.
It's rumored* the new P3 remake will cut the female protagonist line, which would be somewhat disappointing as I was looking forward to a GOTY-type remaster where all the content is available. I guess I'll have to play through the Portable version instead.
Was that confirmed? The headlines I can find are suggestions and rumors, but nothing solid saying that the female MC is definitely out.
In fairness, no, it's not confirmed. The only things pointing to that is that a) the trailer doesn't include Kotone, which admittedly could be a coincidence, and b) a Twitter account that info-dumped said that P3Reload is "a full remake but not definitive", indicating that some content will be dropped.

Yeah that's a pity. In the original, I prefer her route because the social links were far more interesting than the male counterpart.

That's what I've heard. Maybe in 5 more years they'll announce a Golden/Royal type of release.
I just recently beat Persona 4 and it was amazing. Should I wait for Persona 3 or should I jump into Persona 5?
P5 Royal is the way to go when you do, it was absolutely fantastic!
They’re all separate stories barring a few recurring characters/themes.
Definitely go for P5R (the Royal version).
You can notice how old P4 is, right? P3 is that, but way way way worse. P5R OTOH feels somewhat modern, and since the games are standalone with virtually no connection at all, there's not anything you're going to be missing out on.
Just dive right in. The games all have their own self-contained world and story. I love it

I'm so hyped, but I'm really not looking forward to grinding Tartarus again lol.
I really hope they change Tartarus in some way. Every time I've tried to beat P3, I just can't get myself to go through the dungeon. Particularly after P5, where the dungeons were handmade, I wonder if they could somehow integrate the lessons learned there.
The tactics game looks a bit meh, but OTOH I really should not judge a game by its graphics. Weird to see them re-use the art style of Persona Q again without it also being an Etrian Odyssey spin-off again.
Tentatively excited? Their PC ports have - mostly - been really bad, but this could be awesome to play on the Switch on the go, and if the story isn't as, well, lame as Persona Q was I'll be all over it I guess.
