I am not quite sure if this is actually something new or even a large enough group of people to warrant giving that much attention. As long as I can remember (20+ years) there have been people with socially stunted misogynistic traits complaining about female characters in video games. They can be very vocal, but generally speaking also seem to be a minority.
Having said that, calling out that sort of bullshit is fine. So nothing against the video in that regard.

I have stopped talking games in most gaming forums other than a specific few that lean very liberal because otherwise I get spammed with crap like what this guy is talking about. Even when I'm not trying to discuss the problem it comes out in small ways and is annoying to read. Misogyny is a real problem in the gamer community, a lot more than just a few. Gamergate is a big example of it. Hell, GTA V had a huge uproar cause some woman reviewer said the game was good and people should play it but dared to criticize that it didn't do women representation well. There was a huge uproar in trying to get her fired cause she said one criticism about the game (she even overall called it a good game).
Hell, this video dances around calling out what the real issue these gamers complaining are having, the women aren't their fantasy women they can fap to. He all but says it but it is like he refuses to outright say it (but if you look at all his examples of who people don't care about they are all men.. and even he starts focusing on the fact they are complaining about women but won't call that fact straight out).
I've seen long threads on the internet with (hopefully) young people who hold those views. They trot out a lot of low angle and mid action and downright modified images of those five video game...

I hope it's a phase. I hope it's just teenage insecurity and a very small fraction of men who behave like that. And I hope we keep making games featuring not conventional cookie cutter characters and keep casting actors with diverse face and body shapes in movies. Because normal looking people exist and it's okay.

That being said, I have previously had the misfortune of having watched another video by the targeted channel and the kinds of sexist and chauvinist views he espouses is sickening. I’m honestly still a bit pissed at YouTube for having the video I watched show up in my recommendation feed. I feel sad that he is so popular because it means a lot of people agree with his pseudointellectual garbage opinions.
I’m actually a bit surprised that GrayWalf didn’t point out that one of the negative traits that the person mentioned for men was “verbose”. You know, as in “talkative”. Why on earth is this a negative thing? Is talking feminine? That’s quite a take from someone who makes money by speaking long tirades to publish to the internet.
