There's a small "How to play" animation in the bottom right. Basically, there's five words all beginning with the same letter that have been fused together so each word is in the right order but has to be separated from the other four.
      eg:

      O R U T B I E T R

      ORBIT
      +
      OUTER

My brother and I always love word games, and though we live far apart we thought we'd try to make a couple of small challenges we can do daily and compete with each other. We've been enjoying them and I thought maybe some other people might too. Happy for any feedback about either game.

I figured out unzip! It's kind of like a big word scramble. Bit hard to use on mobile but in the end I understood that the letters on the "home bar" must be placed in that same position on each word line. The answers are in the order they're spelled, it's just that the bar at the top contains all the letters "zipped" together.

    Really clever OP!

Yeah, we had a hard time making the mobile interface work for unzip. If you put your phone in landscape mode it sort of works, but I understand it's not the easiest. Glad you're enjoying the games :)

Oh, that's why I could barely make any words on the Unzip... I wasn't even seeing half of the letters! I don't see a better way to display the game board at the minute, but a hint to mobile users...

I don't see a better way to display the game board at the minute, but a hint to mobile users to turn their screen (or scroll to the right) would be very helpful 🙂

I got tumblers! I didn't get unzip, but I didn't have much time left on my lunch break; I'll try again later. Thanks for the puzzles!

Unzip I am somehow unable to come up with enough words that start with E today lol

    I'll try again tomorrow

These are great! Tumblers is a fun iteration on the Wordle format, while Unzip is fresh and quite challenging. Thank you for sharing!

I got them both in the same amount of tries; the problem is that you can easily get into a position where you just don't have any valid words you can fit into the current game state, so you can't make progress...

Also I’m pretty proud of myself for getting today’s in 3! I opened with @Mikie’s starting word, and then my next guess was

      Tumblers Spoiler: 2026-02-07

      excel

which locked in some key information for me to get it right after that.

Oh that's a very helpful second guess for sure. Yeah I hadn't realized I could go out of range! So I just stared at it for a long time.

I went so far as to make an actual script to calculate distance for a good "middle of the alphabet" word to start Tumblers with.

So far my best is 3 turns.

Fun games, although a bit hard for me, especially unzipped, maybe make different versions of unzipped with fewer words as an easy way to tweak difficulty? For tumblers, I think it would nice to have the alphabet under the puzzle for convenience. I suspect many players have it open in another tab.
