What are your favorite games on the Switch?
Looking for some new games to play. This is my list of liked games so far
- Worms WMD. This style of game just never gets old for me
- Mario kart. Looks really nice in 60fps and a ton of fun
- Golf story. Surprisingly fun golf RPG game, also great 2 player multiplayer
- Arms. Quite a bit more fun than wii sports boxing
- Baba is you. Really fun puzzle game with a unique idea
- Korg gadget. Not a game but I love playing with synths
- Night in the woods. I never got to playing this when it came out but I tried it on the switch and I like it
Honestly, Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild. Nintendo really made two incredible games there and they take full advantage of the Switch's format.
Warframe is on Switch as well if you're into that genre!
I bought a switch a few months ago, and with it I bought Breath of the Wild. I’ve been busier than I would like so I haven’t actually advanced much further than Death Mountain, so I have a lot of play left and probably won’t be getting another game for the foreseeable future. There are worse problems to have I suppose.
If you get the DLC you’ll be playing for a while.
I just started playing this. It seems quite good.
My top 5 games on the system:
My main plays (I know you have some and others are better on other consoles):
Baba is you
Hollowknight: this is hands down my favorite game of all time. Comes with all 3 DLCs for the same price as the original game, a badass looking sequel coming soon.
Smash Ultimate
Firewatch
Almost every game I play on any console I have found by listening to the SoundTrack online while at work. So I can say all my suggestions (other than smash) have good music! But also i don’t game much so I can’t help too much.
Surprisingly I found Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle to be pretty great. It's an Xcom-like game, with the characters from the Mario universe and the humour from the Rabbids games, and somehow it really works. It is also about a million times less frustrating than Xcom (and especially Xcom 2).
For me my switch is still a zelda-machine unfortunately. Nothing has grasped me as much as BotW had. Mario was not my cup of tea and all the ports they have released are better played on other platforms if you don't care about portability.
Picross is on the Switch?! Dude. I need to get a hold of that game. Thanks!
I only own a few games, but here's mine:
The other games that I have are good but these two are fantastic. I've been into Let's Go Pokemon also, but I've got to be in the mood to play Pokemon.
I've got to put Celeste in the hat here. A meatboy-style puzzle platformer with well-tuned controls, incredible music, a story that makes you think, and a rare positive outlook on failure. My favorite game of 2018 by far.
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Tales of Vesperia
If you judge from the playtime here’s my top row (the higher, the longer I played it already):
…and that’s already telling something.
But if I was to point out some games I enjoy a lot regardless of their play time, here’s a few (in order of last played):
It's a bit boring but for me, the Switch simply isn't some "underground gem" machine. It's a Nintendo-first-party machine. So it's Zelda BotW, Mario Odyssey and, to my surprise, Splatoon 2 (can't handle the art style but the gameplay got me hooked on a level no shooter has since TF2).
