Comfort food Nintendo YouTubers?
Hey, so I'm looking for more comfy Nintendo (or maybe retro stuff in general?) focused youtubers like Scott the Woz or Nitro Rad or even AVGN to leave on in the background. In general I'd prefer people talking about games or gaming trends or whatever over just playing them...I don't think I really have much interest in let's plays or highlight reels anymore.
It can be full-on silly AVGN stuff or super dry Gaming Historian stuff, I love it all, though my ideal is somewhere in-between. Of course, I'd also like for them not to be terrible human beings, so no jontron or anyone like that please. Thanks!
Ceave Gaming puts out a lot of light and fun content, mostly discussing the Mario series but occasionally touching on Nintendo's catalogue more generally (he recently ranked the dungeons in The Ocarina of Time, for example).
KingK is a little less light but he has a great series of retrospectives on the Mario, Zelda, and Metroid Prime games.
Their tastes don't always align with mine but their videos are consistently fun and interesting.
Edit: fixed the KingK link
My comfort food is definitely the Retronauts Video Works channel by Jeremy Parish. He's been doing full chronological retrospectives of several classic Nintendo consoles for years now, with special focus on NES and Game Boy, though he dabbles in other retro Nintendo and non-Nintendo consoles from time to time.
Oh yeah, I've been going through their metroidvania series! Great stuff :)
LGR has lots of retro stuff that speaks to me. Mostly computer games from the 90s, which is what I grew up with. Focus on simulation games and really weird offbeat software (think demo CDs). He usually talks about the gameplay and does a little bit of play through.
Arlo.
I second Arlo. His Breath of the Wild review is one of the best reviews of all time.

Just the kind of thing I'm looking for, thanks!
Nerrel makes some great stuff, although it's not that often that he publishes anything. Here's a great video about how motion controls don't just have to be a Nintendo gimmick for people to hate on.
My favorite Youtuber (SNESdrunk). Almost exclusively covers SNES games (the best console of all time, in my opinion). Super humble, great sense of humor, has an eclectic taste in games, uploads regularly, very knowledgable, eloquent, and courteous to his followers. Ends every video by wishing you a great rest of your day.
Gamesack - Great production, very thorough and technical retro reviews.
HappyConsoleGamer - A talking head figure, very little gameplay video, but he's great at just talking about modern games as well as retro.
Cannot Be Tamed - Retro + modern reviews. Her voice is "comfy".
Critique Quest - Not very retro but good late-night comfort food. She does deep essays on games and series. Doesn't upload often but quality > quantity.
MetalJesusRocks - Videos aren't edited to be very comfy, or sleep friendly, but it's sort of retro. Not much NES stuff, if any, but plenty of later retro systems and games.
Giant Bomb is a group of mostly industry veterans / dads playing games, who have a soft spot for retro games as well.
