What are your favorite bits of more juvenile humor?
I was recently reminded of this classic 4chan greentext. Even today, it still has me in stitches. What your favorite funny bits that are not particularly sophisticated?
I suppose what qualifies as juvenile is a bit subjective. Is Mr. Bean juvenile? Cause I like it a lot. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia may seem juvenile but is often quite sophisticated, I think. I like Family Guy. It is quite silly. IDK if any of those qualifies. Maybe I don't like juvenile humor.
Most Mr. Bean sketches are really stupid or don't sound funny at all on paper, or if you're trying to tell someone about them. But by god Rowan Atkinson has the best damn face for his style of comedy. Bean almost always has me rolling after a few minutes.
The Red Green Show
If they don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
I think all of Red Green has been uploaded to youtube (by the official channel) at this point.
I loved the gullwing doors so much as a kid.
The venerable comic organ, Viz. If you're British, you know Viz. It's obscene, juvenile, bitingly satirical often to the point of being unrecognisable as satire and very, very funny. At school I once had a Viz annual confiscated by my English teacher, I walked past her room after school to find her sitting at her desk laughing uproariously. She had the decency to apologise and say she was wrong. (I liked Mrs Newton, she was one of those teachers who changed my life forever) Example comic about Winston Churchill, also Francis of Assisi. The ongoing series Drunken Bakers is so black as to be barely comedy, instead portraying a Kafkaesque nightmare of spiralling addiction and suffering that is still somehow kind of funny (I'll admit Drunken Bakers isn't really juvenile so I shall balance that with their long running feature, Up The Arse Corner)
I'm going to have to go with my old standby, the Nyan Cat.
I was going to say bash.org but then I went there for the first time in years and found myself cringing at a lot the stuff on there. Oh well, some of it is still pretty funny, like this highly unsophisticated gem:
This photobooth challenge by two members of Pentatonix always makes me laugh so much my stomach hurts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbHGxdid_2Y
I think that's the definition of just good, silly, harmless fun.
Periods suck
Aibohphobia
My favorite skit of his is Get Off the Shed, which he did during his SNL audition.
This had me in stitches the first time I read it
