I also designed the sciencedot (/r/science + Slashdot mashup), WTFark (/r/WTF + Fark mashup), and several other minor subreddit themes which got applied that day too. I unfortunately can't find any pics of those themes anywhere though. I really should have saved some for myself. :(
I still have a pic of /r/reddithax though, which was the subreddit I created way back in the day for people interested in learning how to modify their subreddit's CSS.
Edit: Oh, and spiderpig, which a bunch of other "powermods" applied to their subreddits for fun.
Well done, @s8n. I wholeheartedly approve of these sorts of shenanigans! :P

I follow Reddit April Fools' Day events every year and this theme was actually fairly inspired by reddigg alongside the current Reddit exodus. It's super cool that you're here on Tildes!

The recent Reddit exodus to Tildes vaguely reminded me of the Digg v4 exodus, so I figured why not commemorate August 30 2010, by making a Tildes UserStyle that looks like Digg v4. :) Note: It's...

Note: It's sorta unfinished right now and it only works with the light theme!
Yeah I refused to use reddit for years after Digg became garbage... But eventually ended up there. Now I'm here and also trying out mastodon, but that feels more like Twitter.

Dare I ask what "tankies" means? Also, which default instance are you referring to? Beehaw, or .ml? I'm not on either yet, but am waiting approval on Beehaw.

Tankie is a pejorative label for communists, particularly Stalinists, who support the authoritarian tendencies of Marxism–Leninism or, more generally, authoritarian states associated with Marxism–Leninism in history.
Wow! I look forward to the tildesnation podcast hosted by @Deimos to go with it, where we find out his favorite beers and some light banter about the popular tildes stories of the week.

Man, I haven't had a Grasshopper in decades. It was probably the last time I was out West. What a blast from the past! And goddamn, do I ever have a hankering for one now. I'm gonna have to see if...

Digg used a spritesheet for pretty much everything on the website, so changing the “Digg” button (Vote button) for example would require editing it in an image editor.

The reddig design was yours? I remember that April Fools day joke, it was not too long after I joined. Nice!
Yep. That was mine! And incidentally, it also resulted in my first taste of doxxing too, since someone was apparently offended enough by the prank to track down my real life contact details in order to let me know how much they hated it. Isn't the internet fun? :/
Damn, some people are really unhinged. That kind of behavior is really scary. Glad no violence from the doxxer came from that incident.
Nah, no violence. I think it was just a relatively harmless troll (or group of them), thankfully. But it was still a pretty unsettling experience.

❤️ :)
I remember reddigg and sciencedot! What a throwback, god. That was 14 years ago??
IKR? Time flies.
Oh man NOW I know who you are! Talk about an oldtimer! :D
👴 Get off my virtual lawn! ;)
It was your mistake to let me in! HAH! Now sufferrrrr ;)

Lemmy is a Reddit-like activitypub platform if you’d prefer that. But the default instance mods are tankies from what I’ve heard.

The term has drifted a bit, but in general "tankies" refers to hardline communists and fans of Stalinism.

.ml is the instance they are referring to.

Hopefully Deimos' dog doesn't also get attacked by a raccoon!

Unfortunately, that’s a problem Canada-wide. IPAs have taken over the craft market, and I hate it. :(
Added your userstyle to the wiki: https://tildes.net/~tildes/wiki/customizing_tildes#css_themes
I had no idea Tildes had a wiki. Thanks for that. Gonna read through it later.
Can you add an option to replace the digg logo/references with lookalikes that say Tildes?

This is awesome brought me back memories of my Digg days.
