What is your default sort for Tildes?
Pretty much self explanatory: what did you set for your default tildes.net post sort?
I currently have it set to top activity in the last three days, but I'm not sure if that's the optimal way to find posts that are likely to have ongoing conversation. On the other hand, filtering to just the past day often eliminates too many posts.
I'm doing all-time activity and I don't really often find old posts. When I do, there's usually a good enough reason for it to be relevant. It's a pretty good sort at this activity level.
My default sort for the whole of Tildes is all-time activity. I want to see what people are talking about.
However, my default sort for ~news is newest first.
On Tildes and everywhere else, my default sort is chronological newest first whenever available.
I never want to automatically follow the crowd.
That works really well here where the community is small enough to almost guarantee quality content, but I don't think I could handle that on Reddit. Although if I trimmed subreddits down to just the niche ones that may work out.
All activity all time. I don't want to miss any good comment.
Default. I guess I still see Tildes as a beta product and want to get a representative experience of what most will see.
New, then I click through to all activity once I've checked out the new topics.
I do activity all time, but I actually always forget there's other sorts. I'll try more!
Top posts the past 24hr/3days, usually check it every 3 days at minimum.
