Brady is somehow still able to not quite get all the credit he deserves. We've heard it for years that he's a system QB and Belicheck was able to win with just about anybody, but the fact remains that between the lines Brady is consistently putting up amazing numbers and able to control games. If he's not the GOAT, he's gotta be in that top 5 of all time, and had we not had two of the other 5 (Manning and Brees) active at the same time, I don't think we'd be even questioning it that much.

This week I seem to be going between three albums

Clutch - Book of Bad Decisions
    Stoner rock

    22 - You Are Creating Limb 1
    Progressive rock

    Chronus - Chronus
... theatric heavy metal? Imagine Ghost without the satanism and a bit more 70's NWOBHM vibe.

22 and Chronus both had their album last year, but I just found 22 and I had to import a physical copy of Chronus so I could have a lossless format. Digging both of them. Clutch is just always bad ass, and while this isn't my favorite album of theirs so far, I'm definitely digging it!

Good question! I've noticed a lot of people really like having a separation between "cooking" and "food". Looking at ~food right now and it's a lot of articles about food related stuff, where culinary (I imagine) would be more about cooking, techniques, recipes, tools, etc.

It may be a bit early in the process for it right now, but I'm just not sure I'd be going to ~food to figure out why my hollandaise sauce broke for the 100th time using the blender method.

A little of column A, a little of column B. I was ~25 at the time, which is about the time these issues really take hold, and the military was a terrible place for me to deal with them. That "world so small but room so big" feeling, paired with people didn't understand when I was starting to lose grasp, and it became a bad thing.

My advice, if you were my troop, is to make sure you're taking care of yourself. The years can go fast, but don't put yourself in shit spots. If you need help, ask for it and get it. You ABSOLUTELY would want that on your record before you get out when it comes to fighting for benefits of the like. If you're just unhappy with it, just find ways to make it more bearable and take advantage. I know in the AF you can get a community college degree, which isn't a lot, but does help when you're trying to get back into college after.

You'll probably get shit on by some of the old guard, and I'm sorry for that in advance. But you're worth more than just your uniform.

Granted, it's not quite as easy for everyone, and there's a lot of work to find the right pills to make it work, but I'll be damned if I'm not recommending to everyone that if they have problems they can't handle that finding a doc isn't the best solution they probably could find.

Oh man, it literally saved my life.

About 9 or 10 years ago, I was driving on my way to kill myself. Plan made, will on my desk where my chain of command could find it, said my goodbyes. I. Was. Done. My supervisor just happened to call and check up on me while I was en route and I lost my nerve. They rushed me to a doc and got me the help I needed.

All these years later, my depression is not gone, but it's managed. I still get "the call of the void" way more often than most people I'm pretty sure, but I went from being maybe 7 minutes away from death to being happily married, a house, dog, a civilian job with a team I really enjoy. It's all been amazing.

I'll 100% admit I took a LOT of flack from people in my shop when I first started treatment, a lot of "Why would you be depressed" "You just want attention" etc. it was hell for a year until I was out of the military. But man, I don't regret it for a single second, this has given me a new lease on life and a GREAT chance to live, not just exist.

"Free Speech" has become a weaponized term. I'm not sure when it happened, but I've definitely seen it going that way.

I moderated PCGaming over on Reddit for over 2 years, and I just watched it get worse and worse and worse. I honestly worry about some of those kids, they've surrounded themselves so deeply with other people who will tell them "You're not the problem, it's everyone else. They're trying to take away your ability to be you, and they're applauded for it." Most of these people are good people with just terrible people in their ears, and they're too young or naive to understand that, but there are plenty of just plain bad actors.

I can't tell you how many times, in a god damned gaming subreddit, I had to respond to "why is it not ok to be white" or have messages yelling about "free speech" if we banned someone for being absolutely toxic.

The past year has been a roller coaster, so right now I'm working on keeping myself ahead of it. Unexpectedly lost my job three days before I had some surgery scheduled and two months after I bought a house, so I've been fighting that a bit. It was also a huge wake up call, and I started getting shit together.

    • I'm almost down to my target weight of 150 from the 185 I was at at the start of the year.
    • I'm eating healthier and cooking more (I really do love cooking, I just never have time it feels)
    • I'm working on getting my health in an overall better spot and dealing with issues I've had for years but refused to address. Seeing a doc next week to try to get anxiety handled and finally do something about my attention issues.
    • Got a new job, which is great, but I also learned software development isn't for me. So I'm using this opportunity to learn everything I can and try to move up to a management position ASAP so I can do what I think I'm best at, and that's helping people around me.
    • I'm gearing up for my next round of surgeries. If I can plan for them 6 months ahead, I can get things together and be ready.
    • I'm FINALLY getting shit together for my honeymoon. I think we've earned some us time.
