It is an GPS RPG style game. Starts out fairly simple, but as you go up tiers there is a lot of complexity and build choices. Lots of different ways of engaging with the game, as well as constant events and new features.
It funds itself through selling cosmetics. You can buy things like keys to access dungeons, but those keys are fairly easy to get otherwise, so there is little need to. The game is designed to not make you feel like you need to pay for anything, and this is a conscious design choice on behalf of the developer.

I also find it odd that they repeat this line, " Although the original developers closed down their instance in 2010, that was just one server out of hundreds." Just feels like a low effort article.
Having a quick look, I can't see anywhere, what the committee is reconvening about, or why there are "green shoots".

I watched a youtube video the other day, showing how you can use AI tools to develop music much easier. Things like https://soundraw.io/, to make the original track you can play around with, to using AI to master the completed track in minutes. The process isn't just "AI please make music", but something that augments and assists an artist. Revolutionary for that artist but you won't see 100 million users.
There is a cambrian explosion of ideas and tools that are being made. It isn't just about bings market share.

I really wish there was feature on google where you could just block certain websites from showing in results. (edit: Ok, I think you might have to make a custom search function via https://programmablesearchengine.google.com . Not sure if that will work but might be a start.)

For eg, if you get an email from a new source, it will prompt you to accept or block, but if you pick block it will ask you to upgrade to use the feature.
I might give fastmail a go.

Drynyn I moved to one from the Samsung note. Only negative is that it feels a bit cheaper to touch, a little thicker. Otherwise it works well. Not had an issue with it.I moved to one from the Samsung note.
