I am a bit late to the party, but I've just finished watching the MCU movies, up to an including Avengers: Endgame. Started watching the movies at the beginning of this year, and it took me until now to finish everything. Before I started I thought that I am not really going to like it, based on my to-date movie preferences, but after watching it ... I must say I enjoyed every single moment. There is obviously a lot that has changed since the first movies, CGI being the prime example, but every movie is special in their own right. I liked actor choices, I liked costumography and scenography, I liked the story ... But the thing that I liked the most is the music. Being an audiophile I am, I already enjoy good soundtrack as is. But this ... This was a special experience. Hearing each of the scores, the expertly crafted themes blending together, hearing them repeat throughout the series ... And when the Avengers theme starts blasting again during the final battle in Endgame, it's simply incredible.
I'd say that all of the hours I've sunk into the franchise are well worth it, if for nothing else for the amazing score. But also for the other stuff. My overall rating would be 86/100.
So, are there any movies that have simply outstanding soundtrack?

I really like the fact that most of the music is 5minutes+ long and without constant repetition. Of course there is a chorus, but it's not like a lot of modern songs which just have one verse repeated over and over and over.

    Hey!

I have completed my ham certifiction about half a year ago, so I'm still quite fresh one. I only have one Kenwood and one Standard portable stations (5W both) and 75cm/2m dipole on my roof. I have the highest possible license, except the CW part. I still have to get on to that. I hope to get enough motivation soon.

Hope to meet you on the bands,

I mean the phrase "my brain takes it for granted" in the same sense your brain takes moving your arms and legs for granted (I am giving this as an example; if you don't take that for granted for some reason, either because you can't or anything else, I am really sorry, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say). I don't think it's weird at all, all of the enjoyment is there. If anything, one could debate my enjoyment of the dreams in the first part.

    And I didn't even realise that's you! You're welcome :)

I do quite often lucid dream, but for me, they fall into two categories. One where I am not directly aware that I am dreaming, which I have much less influence over, but they are more vivid and one where I am aware that I am dreaming, where I have almost all control I want, but it's just like I would close my eyes on the bus and imagine something in my head (that is not counting the sound/touch/feeling the movement and so on). Not very realistic. And if you are wondering how does lucid dreaming without being aware of the fact that you are dreaming work, it's quite hard to explain. I can do a lot of things I otherwise wouldn't be able to (element bending, summoning materials etc etc etc), but my brains somehow take it for granted; they don't think that's unusual. Does that make sense? If not, tell what you want to know and I'll do my best to explain it.

The only times when I don't wear them are when I am reading (on close-up (up to ~20cm) I see better w/o them), sleeping (obviously), or when I am skiing/swimming/SCUBA Diving (or some other simmilar activity), when I am wearing contacts.

I used to have glass lenses, but since I was diagnosed with Irlen Syndrome I need to have tinted lenses (darker shade of blue) I need to have plastic lenses.

If I recall correctly, the formal definition is as follows:

Let a↑{n}b be a↑↑↑...↑↑↑b where the total number of up-arrows is n.

    Now let's recursively define number series G, so that G_n = 3↑{G_(n-1)}3 and G_0 = 3.

Graham's number would then be defined as G_64.

So all in all, it is not hard to imagine even crazier numbers, just do G_(G_64), but that does not mean Graham's number in itself it's any less crazy. Even the number G_1 (which has 3 up-arrows, mind you) is extremely large. Now for G_2 we do not double the amount of up arrows. We do not even square it nor do any other 'sensible' operation. We change the amount of arrows to G_1.

    If we have number a = x↑{n}y and b = x↑{n+1}y, b is essentially x↑{n}a. But we aren't adding 1 or 2 up-arrows, we are changing 3 of them into G_1 of them.

So, I am currently attending a big scouting event in Europe and there are people from over 50 different countries. And I have noticed, that quite a lot of them are acting (at least for me) in a very disrespectful manner towards the flag. Starting with the smaller thinngs, most people have flag tied on a rope between their tents (the flag is tied in top left and top right corners). In my opinion, it should only be tied on the left side, while the right is hanging freely. But I can kind of understand that, because the flag is much more visible, it's easier and nicer to do it this way. However, it gets worse. Earlier today, when it started drizzling, I saw some people using their flag as head protection. And, in my opinion the biggest sign of disrespect, when we had the opening ceremony, there were people laying their flag on the ground and sitting on it, not caring who steps on it or anything.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Is this just me overreacting? Or do you think this is a serious problem?

It would be nice to have that functionality (at least as an option), so that the thread doesn't close. I personally instinctively close the tab after I am done reading instead of going back, which can be really frustrating after the realization I have nothing to read now (yeah, I know, CTRL+SHIFT+T, reopen last closed tab etc etc, but it's much more convenient to hit CTRL+W and be back where you stopped reading the thread).
