I'm all for more TV Trek but it feels like they are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. It sort of feels like they are trying to go with the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV route (who have had 11 different shows!) especially since Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage both created Marvel's Runaways (which I think is pretty solid and could see their style translating well to a Starfleet Academy series).

StellarV I suppose it's not much different than picking up a package from the post office. Yeah @tunneljumper, try looking into groups associated with outdoor activities. There's often people that go on runs together. You being in a rural area might make some things a little more complicated but you should still be able to find a group.

I do watch it around Christmas just for fun and if anyone asks I'll say it's a Christmas movie but I'm mostly joking. Christmas just happens to be the setting but most of it doesn't really matter when it happens. It's just an excuse for the building to be mostly empty and a few jokes about it. It could be New Year's Eve or Halloween or any major holiday and it would work just fine.

Comment on What are some common skills that will become extinct in the next couple of decades? in ~talk
StellarV I think even pre-industrialization not everyone needed to know all that unless they lived on the frontier. Can you flint knap, fletch, or hunt with a bow and arrow? How about skin an animal and cure its meat? What about operate a spinning wheel or loom? Knit, sew, crochet? Raise livestock? Milk them? Make cheese with that milk? Etc. Etc. Etc. Because I sure as shit can't. Those were all once fundamental skills that almost every human needed to know how to do at one point

On top of that my grandparents used to run a business out of their home so they had a lot of incoming and outgoing packages.

My grandparents have a lockbox outside of their house with a combination lock that they give delivery drivers since I think it's happen to them a few times.

I'm beyond excited for the game. I've been following it ever since the Kickstarter but only just now pledged for the game right after last year's CitizenCon because I feel like they are finally starting to get on track with development and it has become much more playable. The feature creep is real with the game but I think they are finally beginning to hold back and look toward actually finishing their product. It's been a great year for Star Citizen. I know a lot of the early backers are pretty jaded about the time it has taken to finish the game as well as the issues during development which I totally understand but I think they are finally getting on track.
I'm running an i5-6600K CPU, 16 GB RAM, 1070Ti video card, and an M.2 NVMe SSD drive to run it and it's been great with the new updates.
