If you're looking to use Libby, and to sideload PDFs, I'd rather recommend Kobo honestly. Kindle is better for Amazon content, but I find the sideloading process much easier on Kobo and I think that Libby is actually owned by Kobo, so I expect it should work well, though I don't have a library membership to actually test that.

There is a problem with the advice to reduce meat consumption rather than ending it. Knowing how much you’ve eaten is very difficult. When a person succeeds at one point, they frequently subconsciously reward themselves later on, often without consciously realizing it. It’s part of why dieting is so hard. If everyone agreed to reducing their consumption by 10%, it would likely result in significantly less than a 10% reduction. There are some people who avoid eating meat aside from once or twice a week, and that’s commendable, but most people who claim to reduce their meat intake are not going to be nearly so motivated not successful.

Took a look at it on my linux device, since I've been saddened that arc isn't (and probably never will be) available there... Overall, my impression was positive. It lets you pin apps to the side and organize sessions of tabs, and place pages side by side. However the sessions are not simultaneously usable, and are hidden behind a menu. On arc, I just swipe on the sidebar to change sessions, which are neatly separated, and clicking on a tab changes my session. On sidekick, I have to click the profile looking button in the bottom left, scroll through the list of sessions, and activate the right session before opening the tab. If I don't make sure to open the session first it instead makes a new copy of that tab in the current session, which, like, really? Who on earth thought that was a useful default behavior? On a surface level, Sidekick is a start, but really could use some UX work.

Off the top of my head:

    Meals:

    • GGB (Grain Green and Bean) Bowls. Pick a grain, pick a vegetable, pick a bean, pick a sauce, throw it all together.
    • Burrito. Use the GGB formula with a tortilla.
    • Dahl/Dal. Basically lentils + spices. Simple, but really good.
    • Chana Masala was already mentioned in your post, but dang it's good.
    • Lightly mash chickpeas with a mayo of your choice (like with a tuna salad), and it makes a decent sandwich / rice ball.

    Dessert:

    • Anko. A kind of red bean that traditionally used in desserts.

I've been playing Cassette Beasts, and been absolutely thrilled! While it might look like a bog standard Pokemon clone on the surface, it's been significantly better than I would have thought based on that. The puzzles are delightful, the characters are fleshed out, the soundtrack is brilliant, the retro theme is fantastic, I love the way they did their equivalent of Shiny's, the type interactions have significant depth, and, my personal favorite, the bosses (archangels) have aesthetics significantly different from the rest of the game, a la Madoka Magica, making them feel just that bit more intense. When you're playing a 2d game, and enter a battle with a powerful entity only to find that it's a giant claymation beast, it's just chef's kiss.

I very much would recommend it to anyone with a pc, though I hear there are some troubles with the console port.

To be honest, I don't think that a scrollbar is really... necessary anymore? Trackpads are really good and a mouse scroll wheel works. If you really need one, it's still there, just hidden out of the way for 99% of the time you don't need a scrollbar. (There's also a setting to make it permanently visible if you want it back that much)

As much help as that sub was to me several years ago, Tildes is definitely not the place for it I think. Feeds aren't really separate here, with everything combining on the homepage, whereas exmo is definitely more of a "space" for people with a common thread of experience. I'd probably look at helping establish the community at Lemmy Exmo or Squabble Exmo.
