I can understand a speed runner who wants to complete the game as fast as possible, but I cannot fathom what's inside the mind of someone who makes the game harder just for fun. But I don't need to understand it to appreciate it, especially if it's as funny as this guy makes it out to be.

My brother always rolls his eyes when I say something I think funny, but my sister always laughs. If my sister wasn't there, maybe I'll be like this, filtering what I say, but ultimately I like to embrace the silliness. Maybe there's tons of sisters here for you to make them laugh, we can't know yet.

We can't even tell right now if it's possible with the current limitations in Computer Science, because we don't understand what we want to simulate, so we don't know what we need to simulate it correctly.
So, it could be possible, but there's also the possibility that we can't with our technology, and to be able to really do it, before we build an even better computer we have to understand how we think.
One example is about how language makes us able to think, what's the relationship between language, culture and individual thinking, what would happen to a human that didn't learn any language whatsoever, and so on.
We can't copy from scratch what we can't understand.

You actually made me want to learn ASL or something like that myself.
I know native Spanish but learned English at school, and now I finally could land a job that allows me to use it. I'm still learning English, but I also like Japanese, because I'm hard of hearing and Japanese phonetics are really close to Spanish (what you write is almost what you hear). I also love the culture, I love the process of learning the language, and I would like to reread some things in Japanese. It's just a hobby for now, but it may allow me to work with it in the future, maybe.
Also, I'm studying to become an Spanish language teacher in the future, so having two languages under the sleeve wouldn't be bad at all.

And the lazy one, by choosing to believe (the test doesn't have a neutral option, so you have to choose a side) whatever is presented to them, becomes gullible. So the test is to identify how much curiosity motivates you to know more about anything, even things you don't care too much about.

So, is I want to see a customer smile, and I do it, that's it. That's my product, that's my KPI. That was the change I wanted to give to the world.
And I'm happy with that, because I only work for things I really care about. Just one step at the time.

But yeah, I can understand that situation, but I couldn't imagine it before. It is the best decision, but even without the label we can see it in the outcome.
At the end, all features are to make the community better, and to find out those labels would be polemic pretty sure was hilarious at the time.

I'm happy for those who think this new service could replace Twitter for them, it's another evil company, but who cares anymore? If it works, people will be there.
I think it's not for me because I didn't use Twitter, so I have nothing to replace. But the freedom of choice is there, which is nice.

Like a bat?
There's always a risk associated with playing with the unknown, in this case, developing something smarter than us.
But what would even be the realistic application of a super smart AI? Could it be the gateway to develop quantum computers, cure cancer and create a government that doesn't suck? Or could only be used to serve even more ads? I really don't know the end goal, but I'm interested.
I mean, what's our motivation for the risk we're taking?

So,
evidence number * evidence quality = credibility index
With this equation (algorithm?), too many, but rubbish evidence would trend to zero, but a single evidence of great quality presented would make a big number.
Of course, I would like to know if my idea is wrong or defective.

Someone here knows TextBlaze? It's a tool for pasting snippets using keywords, but it's incredibly powerful for its intended purpose: it can be "programmed" to do a bunch of things with commands like IF/ELSE, and EXTRACTREGEX, so even though I know nothing about programming it's been very fun to develop tools for my work using this thing. The last I was creating was fun snippet for studying Japanese verb conjugation, also another for practicing two digit multiplication (I have a lot of time at work).
But the best are the tools I have created to help me with my actual work: copy an entire website to the clipboard and write the snippet: TextBlaze will automatically build the snippet using the info contained in the tables on the website (which is in the clipboard) to make the output. The manual way was that I had to manually copy and paste (or write) each piece of information, so this makes it better: I don't have to look it up (it's not always easy to find).
It's a shame I only have it at work though. Someday I'll buy it to use it at home, but right now there's no need for me to do that.
