Don't get me wrong, I hate EULAs but the problem arises when you get banned and ask " what constitutes abuse?" For instance, say I use Spotify to download the music and play it on my own, then they ban me. Why? To steam the music it has to be downloaded to my phone, even momentarily, so why can't I keep a local copy, rip the album art and transfer it to my iPod? So then Spotify has to add "only play music through our app or web portal" and now third party apps are banned and the API is useless because, obviously, Spotify isn't Napster.

Contact law gets this way because contact lawyers spend lots of time digging through contacts to find ways to get around them. The layperson is completely overwhelmed and you the up with a 200 page contract that doesn't even stop people from trying to groom minors in the game lobby.

Cat5 and wired setups. They didn't invest in a solution because they didn't want to (and, likely couldn't afford it.) Chromebooks have Ethernet ports, at least, some do. If they couldn't hard wire drops for the teachers at least, they just didn't want to do anything. They could've had a computer lab that could hold a quarter of the school at a time if they really wanted to. 200 kids and they couldn't figure out any solution?

It's obvious that losing your blank check makes you rethink writing a new one but also making that hard is that there's no end in sight to the fighting. It should also be noted that this comes...

One in four (25%) think it is likely that active fighting will come to an end within the next 12 months, although only 5% see it as “very likely.” Over two-thirds (68%) think it is unlikely that active fighting will come to an end in the next year.

It's obvious that losing your blank check makes you rethink writing a new one but also making that hard is that there's no end in sight to the fighting.

It should also be noted that this comes with a complete collapse in US favorability. War Fatigue is a hell of a debuff.

Fortunately, I have deep experience with Chrono Trigger - I have the SNES, PS1, and DS versions and have completed all the endings on the DS version. So, that'll be an easy month for me.

I believe I have most of the PlayStation WHAT on my Miyoo Mini - though that's likely a less than ideal way to play Pepsiman, so I'll likely set those up on my living room PC (sadly don't have discs of all those and haven't ODEd my PS1(s)).

Racing Lagoon, I'm happy to see because I already started the process of getting the translation set up but life has gotten in the way. Looks like I'll have peer pressure and technical support on my side for that one.

Wind Waker, I still have my original GC disc, so maybe I'll use this as the excuse to play the HD version I have on my Wii U. Then again, that would mean plugging up my Wii U...

Basically, only game I haven't heard of/set up before is Bell Tolls. Looking forward to all the games!

If anyone is in dire straights in terms of our first game, I can always sell some Steam items to cover a game or two, though it's much harder to mail out my modded consoles!

Never actually played Threads, looks interesting, and the PlayStation WHAT was too good to pass up.

Maybe the peer pressure will help but the only thing I associate that game with is the fake AVGN bit from I Don't Know James Rolfe these days.

I am not a hater. I am staunchly against AI, however. We need more haters. I need the Buck Nasty of AI hate.

Every time someone proposes using sensitive information in an AI capacity, they should be assigned the author to follow them around 24/7 for a month so he can hate on them. There's enough boosters for AI. There's even enough people who can see the good and need for regulation...

But, unfortunately, AI haters will only lead to some sort of conspiracy group - 5G Birds aren't flat kind of loons. Simple, out of pocket dismissals create simple narratives. Those simple narratives reach simple people. I want us to shun and regulate AI because of the real problems with it - not because Gregori's Brother's Son's Nephew thinks it's going to hack his grill and turn his tongs gay.

But, keep on hatin', you beautiful soul.

Just to fully flesh this out before the deadline:

    Arcade Classics (Collections)

    • Midway Arcade Treasures - One of many emulated connections of Midway games but the one I owned back in the day, I think the PSP version is technically the most complete but I'm not gonna split hairs

    • Activision Anthology - this one is all the vibes. Yeah, the 60+ games are great but the creative menus, the music, I dunno. I don't really find dragster fun but this game makes me want to pop it in for a few runs.

    • Taito Legends - there's a few different versions of this one but it's worth it for the variety.

New hire at work has me totally at capacity but the Arcade special idea would be "Arcade Classics (Collections)" and included the Midway Arcade Classics collection, Activision Atari Collection and so on.

I'm trying to think of games that are classics to me but also aren't too crazy.

Adventure for the Atari 2600. We won't have trouble getting it running and it won't take us long to experience it.

Star Tropics on the NES. There is one major gameplay section that would require a spoiler unless you've got the original complete in box but we can work around it.

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle in my heart I want to go all the way back to Miracle World but Castle is more memorable to me. It's weird, it involves rock paper scissors, I still have my original cart.

Landstalker the spiritual successor to Alundra, do we have room for a bit longer of an isometric game?

Since we're going to have a million submissions, I don't want to go to crazy or long. I've got plenty more recommendations but I'm trying to stay to shorter games (I promise I won't suggest Legend of Dragoon) and stuff small enough to comfortably add to a phone emulator if needed.

Editing to add: After clicking on the actual post, NOW I see the rules. Way to go me.
