I'm glad the video addresses my immediate misgivings about the title! They certainly have a lot of new source material to make fun of. I really hope they don't fuck this up.

I think that Disney revealing that Palpatine was alive through a Fortnite event before The Rise of Skywalker came out (yes, that really happened!) is exactly the kind of absurd thing that any self-respecting post-sequel-trilogy Star Wars parody would make fun of. It also makes sense to address why the title is not "The Search for More Money" to any fans who didn't see this announcement video.

That would be really dumb and not funny at all. We do not need to reference fucking Fortnite

Clearly older cast: "......Fortnite? The fuck is a Fortnite?"
Yes, it took many fortnights to find it. Decades, even!
So much will have to come down to comedy acting talent.
Imagine what the original would have been like without John Candy or Rick Moranis.
I do not have high hopes for this, given Mel Brooks’ recent track record.
And he was also involved in this piece of utter trash.
"this video is unavailable"
It doesn’t seem to have Nick Kroll in it, which is enough to make me cautiously optimistic. He’s got a particular style I really dislike.
What's his recent track record?
I can't believe Mel Brooks is still actively kickin' around. He'll be crosses fingers a centenarian by the time this comes out.
I got a kick out of “Spaceballs: The Money”.
This man makes me laugh every damn time, he's a treasure. I look forward to this because even if it's not perfect, it'll be perfect.
