Luckily for me, I got to 70 with a barb and called it quits. Felt like I had seen the majority of what the game had to offer. Creating new characters just to use different abilities inside the same exact content is not "replayability" at all.

Jokes aside, it's a big deal. I have no doubt in my mind he pushed for that day to go the way it did and hoped for a different outcome.

Jedi Survivor: Picked this up at launch and the performance was terrible. Shelved it until recently as there's been some performance related patches. It still has issues, but it's good enough. I really enjoyed Fallen Order and Survivor has been a great expansion of the role of Cal Kestis in the Star Wars universe. Worlds are impressive scale and have good details. There's enough gameplay mechanics introduced to you over the course of the game to keep it interesting as well, improv8ng over the last game. Story has been fun. I'm playing on Jedi Master and it's really hard, but expected. Trying to beat Rayvis currently.

Something I thought of reading your comment was how conditions are in "third world countries". Where kids and families don't have a roof over their head to call their own and possibly only have the one set of clothes they are currently wearing. Where water is in short supply, and there's practically no backing economy. But you will still see plenty of smart phones out there in the hands of a lot of people in those situations. Might not be doing them much good, but it at least provides some sort of improvement in connecting them to others and opportunity when it presents.

I grew up in upstate New York but with my father who is a native from Philly and a graduate of PSU. He was and still is a rabid Philly sports fan, so naturally I adopted all Philly sports teams as my own. I have an a original Nick Foles jersey that I acquired when he first joined the team, I knew then that big dick Nick was to be the one, and sure enough he came back and stepped up to help get the team that first SB ring!

It was sureal yesterday when I went to refresh and saw nothing but a 429 error. It was even moreso when I went and uninstalled rif. When I reached the store page to click that uninstall button, I was reminded I reviewed your app way back in 2014. I'm at a loss as I don't know how to use reddit on mobile without. I'm going as long as I can without reddit now and hoping it will improve my life a tiny bit.

Thanks for years of mobile content ingestion, it would have been a different world without rif.

I am almost 38. Quake was a big reason I fell in love with gaming and in 1999 Quake 3 Arena arrived. I played that endlessly for years into college. I probably stopped around 2004.

There hasn't been much by the way of good multi-player in 2023 that I haven't already played to death or just gave up on due to lack of interest or my skills being lack luster. I started playing Quake LIVE as it was easy to play a few rounds in the evening on one of the few remaining servers that actually gets players.

After some 70 hours of playing FFA against a lot of ungodly good players, I've managed to win 4 games now in the past couple weeks. Quite proud I still got it somewhat. My railgun is quite insane for not playing in nearly 20 years, but sadly my rockets are not what they used to be... Anyways, that's what I've accomplished! Being good at games I was good at 20 years ago...

Gamepass here, I'll be playing it day one and find that worthwhile. If it turns out to be a long-term, excellent game, I'll pick it up on sale years later on Steam.

Agree with you though, it certainly will not be smooth performance on launch. Almost no games are these days, and especially something that's so much more complex.

I spent over a decade as a Meat Manager in a grocery store. It was fairly physical work, on my feet all day, and early morning (5am to 6am start times). Did that for so long, I never really needed to hit the gym. But I started a new career and it's work from home. Well, while I have a naturally high metabolism, it didn't prevent me from losing my definition and getting a little more padding in the midsection. My wife has been work from home as well since the pandemic started, and also was feeling the effects.

We committed at the start of the year to a minimum 3 days a week, 1 hour each day, at the gym. Half the time on cardio, the other half on some various lifting. We don't follow any set program, just noodle around with stuff we like as long as it keeps us active and it's been working out super well! We both have a lot more energy, experience so much less pain (both our backs were fucked), and I'm actually looking pretty good and defined! It's an insane confidence booster for us both, and it's certainly translated to more frequent and fun "activities" in the bedroom.

2016 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition. Bought it new near the end of 2015 for 17.9k cash out the door. At the time, my commute was only 18 miles round trip and the last year and a half I've been WFH. IT has 44k miles on it today. It's wearing out in the cosmetic department, but mechanically it's perfectly fine. As long as nothing crumbles apart (gaskets, wiring, etc), then I suspect I can hold this car for at least another 5 years. Well worth it for what it is.

I love nice, fast, high end cars. I do not care for the amount of money those cars cost. It's crazy to me what people spend on cars compared to what they make. I always say "when my rap album goes platinum, I'm getting that nice car".... I'll stick with my sensible choices and never be disappointed.

Fair point. At least they aren't wasting development time on it, hopefully to maximize resources to get what they have working well. Remains to be seen of course.

Still would rather reddit decides to at least hold off for another year. Its wild to me they don't have these tools finished for mods but are still going forward. From what I gather though, they've been promising tools for years and it seems like the promise gets more empty every time. I almost doubt they even have new tools in the works.
