Just finished reading Girls' Last Tour yesterday which I enjoyed. The only thing I've really been watching is Nagatoro which I'm actually surprised I like as much as I do. Other than that, right now Call of the Night is the only thing I somewhat keep up with which is actually another one that was a pleasant surpise for me since I expected to not enjoy it at all.

I started Russian with duolingo and I still like it but only just because it's something quick that I can do every single day just to keep the language in my mind. I also really like Clozemaster but I only think it's useful if you already know at least a little bit of the language. Other than that I did Memrise and Mango Languages for a bit which I both enjoyed. I've seen people say to check your local library to see if you can get Mango for free through them.

I can't speak for cookbooks but I personally can't stand swiping through pages on a screen. Recently I've been trying to learn programming and a foreign language and it's just so much easier and more enjoyable for me to be able to physically flip through a book to find something. I can read novels digitally just fine but if its something like a textbook or something I need to reference then I prefer a physical copy. It's also easier on the eyes. Not much of an explanation I guess since it mostly just boils down to paper is enjoyable and swiping on a screen is irritating.

I still remember the first time I saw Stand By Me with my twin brother and a buddy who was staying over at our place. Still one of my favorite movies. I'm not even sure why we picked that one and we weren't expecting much but when it ended we all said damn that was a great movie. I don't know what makes a movie a great young adult movie but that particular one always made me want to just go on exciting adventures with some friends.

Personally I think one of the most important things to teach any child is how to think for yourself and to not have to rely on other people for everything. Obviously they should know that it's perfectly ok to ask for help but I know far too many people who have 13+ year old kids and they do literally everything for them and treat them like babies. My coworker's teenager still sleeps in his mom's bed and can't even cook any type of food for himself. Everyone I know who was raised like that has just been a completely helpless person who can't handle anything in life and I find that pretty unfortunate.

Mostly on MechWarrior Online recently. I honestly wouldn't recommend it to most people unless you're a fan of mechs but I really like it. Other than that, just a little bit of the new Street Fighter which in my opinion feels great to play. As for boardgames, I finally tried One Deck Dungeon. I like it so far but definitely need to play more.

I'm in the same boat. I think the majority of them are dumb because a lot are just misspelling things. The Fruit of the Loom logo is the hill I'll die on though. I remember being in Kmart and asking my mom what the cornucopia was and a lot of people have similar memories. Plus you have a lot of things that reference the logo like that jazz album "Flute of the Loom". I find that much harder to explain than something like simply misspelling a word or name or getting a minor detail in a movie wrong.

I don't see the point in being upset at the entire gaming industry because a game you don't like is popular. A lot of my favorite games are "oldschool" or ascii type graphics which is what i prefer. So do you think that every new game that comes out has to have the most realistic graphics possible and some revolutionary new mechanics?
