Best dreams have been about flying but haven't had them since I was a kid! Even if they were running away from stuff when I'm flying they're still THE BEST EVER FEELING!

Worst are def the wave DREAMS (basically a tsunami dream!) that are a reoccurring constant for me (like probably at least twice a month min!).

However, because of their frequency I have sort of 'learned' that when am having a wave dream that I'm like oh it's another one... And where I can try redirect it but doesn't always work!

I always seem to have crazy vivid dreams and usually for the most part remeber them but I don't think I've had any impact me as such?

Maybe I'll just always be chasing the high of the flying dreams in real life though? 🤔

Kiwi from the North Island here (now in Melb Au!) Apologies in advance for awful spelling!

Would recommend coromandel peninsula if you like beaches and bush walks. Cathedral Cove is probs one of my favs! The beaches are really nice BUT beaches up northland are also reaaaallly nice! 😍

If going to Coro area, it would probs really require a 1-2 night day trip/stay as SUPER windy rds (there were some Rd closures a while back but they might be all sorted now!?).

Otherwise up north Opononi (or nearish there!) is really great and as others have mentioned, has awesome sand dunes! Would also require a 1-2 night stay depending on how much exploring you want to do!

Adding to what others have said, as you don't seem to have a super long time there just be mindful of when you're driving to/from places it will likely take you longer than thought as some of the rds can be quite narrow/windy etc, so wouldn't recommend trying to fit multiple day trips to multiple places in etc. As others have said look at it in terms of time to travel rather than distance and then add some more due to unfamiliarality of rds etc

Tongariro crossing is great suggestion buut you might need a day or two to recover from it as can be quite the challenge. As it is close(ish) to Rotorua would need to factor in 1-2 nights etc.

Undoubtedly wherever you are there will be HEAPS of bushwalks and various nature reserves etc for good day trips.

Also if you don't already know, NZ has NO SNAKES! 🙌🙌 Or anything really remotely scary wildlife wise that can harm you so bush walking is AMAZING not having to worry about that sort of stuff!

Am sure whatever you end up doing you'll have an amazing time. If you get lost, just ask for directions etc locals are generally happy to help/figure out how/where to google if needed!

If getting a local sim to help with internet stuff, 2° has usually been my go to when am over visiting fam etc

Oohh and if you do happen to Rd trip down to Welly - Te Papa is def worth the visit! Otherwise Auckland museum is nice too (just depends what's on!)

Hope this has helped somewhat but happy to delve further if needed/where can help!

Planner looks good until I can't get all my to-dos in one place but could just be a user side of things too!! Interested to hear what might work best! Lots of my stuff ends up being long term changes that need to happen but then 'sprints' in between as well.

I don't really have anything to add other than congrats! I was originally going to 'homemake' preserve and frame my puzzle then decided I'd rather get a proper place to frame and do it as I would be bound to stuff it up! 😐 Totally understand its a lot of $ to do as well! My 'justification' for the splurge was that it took me so long to do the one I wanted framed and I wanted something nice at the end so took it to someone who knew what they were doing! 😅

Maybe next I'll try a 'self glue and framing' adventure with a smaller puzzle to see how it all goes!? 😅 The next one I have on the go will likely also be one I take to a proper framer place though as again I'd likely muck something up! 🙄

Hi @Gaywallet (hopefully am doing this right!!!😅🤣) soo an update of sorts I guess but basically very long story short, I ended up ending things with my partner aaand came out as queer(er!) 😅🤣 as in I prefer women to men (not that I don't like them or wouldn't ever date them in the future) The decision has been a looong time in the making really and when looking back I'm like, oh yeah, this makes sense/feels right to me! 😅😊 This is by far the healthiest thing for me as there were a number of things in our relationship that were not at all healthy! 🫣 He's not necessarily a bad person etc, he's been really supportive and we are still living together till we can both find a place etc but yeah, is certainly some big changes and am looking forward to cute dates and taking things from there!! 🤣😅 I still haven't 'found' anyone or actually done anything with anyone at all 🤣🤣😅 but am excited for the next steps and just seeing where life takes me next!! 🤗🤗 No idea about queer life/space what to expect etc but am just overall excited for whatever comes next!! 😅😊 Soo any advice you might have would also be appreciated!! 😅🤣🫣

Hi! I'm a Kiwi living in Melb Au. Trained as an RN and now working in program management supporting other nurse around Au who work in primary care.

Have considered multiple job changes, really love the idea of librarian researcher honestly too! Not sure about the job/availability/pay though. I have ADHD so feel like I could have 1 million different jobs. I've been in my current role for 10 years or so now. I love healthcare but also getting depressed at how broken the system is here.

Hobbies - love board games, history, reading, gaming (metroidvanias, dark souls and the like), Pickleball (not that I've played much lately). Identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, currently partnered and have a dog. Have been thinking about kids but have a few things to work through first.

I also LOVE ppl watching and listening/reading about others stories. One of my biggest wants is to create a space for biographies to be written, recorded and preserved as a collection of sorts. Main reason for this is my great grandfathers memoirs from before WW1, during and after. I really want/need to get them written up as a starting point before getting any bigger though!! Just is a matter of time and continued motivation to do it... I've started just struggling to continue (story of my life!!).

Love reading about others who've found themselves here! 🤗

Has been awesome having this to come back to search for artists and music I would have never thought to look for!! Thanks so much for your reply, has been really helpful! Feels like it's quite a small (but also big at the same time??) community and being new to everything is hard to know what to expect/not expect etc.

I certainly haven't had high hopes I guess but just more wondering whats 'normal' or not etc. My partner now isn't interested in exploring from his side but has said is my decision to keep going or not but that's a whole other story! Eeeaah anyways!

I still haven't met anyone IRL but I have moved to texting with a few different ppl but lordy it can get exausting! However am hoping I will get to meet someone IRL at some point as I'm still keen to explore my bi-ness as such and in some ways feel like I've always kinda been ENM as I tend to compartmentalise fairly easily (or that's just trauma/ignoring feelings who knows! 😬).

I haven't downloaded any other apps as yet as have certainly felt overwhelmed (not sure that's the right feeling??) with all the choices and trying to keep up with various ones etc so at the moment I've still just got 3, with one mainly being for making new friends as have also realised I'm sorely lacking local friends in my area as well now that many have moved away/interstate/overseas etc

Anyways will certainly come back to this thread for future inspiration too 😊

Basically yes to all your questions except for the overly dramatic part.

How accurate do you think the video comes across?
VERY ACCURATE. I loved that the women of the office were also involved and making commentary along the way. Not over dramatic at all. Basically it goes from feeling totally normal one day to like having your insides torn out the next. Not to mention the breast tenderness, pre cram cramping, craving for choc, hormones and then the fun stuff of bleeding - is it going to be light, med, heavy or HELL level or just all of the above... Oh also why the fk do we say it's only 'once a month', when it can be more like 5-10 days of this!!!??!! I remember when I first got mine thinking something was seriously wrong because I kept bleeding after 1 day. Once a month does not mean once a month.... Anyways....

What do you think about men using these TENS machines to simulate period cramps (or labor pains)
When done like this in an educational and entertainment format, hells yes. It helps bring awareness to the shit women have to go through on a regular basis. For me the part they really nailed was the fact they did it for the whole day and gave them assignments etc to do throughout.

do you think it's something more men should actually try, in order to understand better what it's like for women?
Hahaha omg I'm just imagining an office 'team bonding day' where all the men have do this! 😂 Sure I mean that'd be great if that's something they wanna try etc but also, would hope that it wouldn't take doing this to make changes when it comes to women's health etc.

Aware that this is from. 2016, so if there are any recent ones happy to read them, but certainly feel like this sorta sums up the state of things in Women's health (reproductive health specifically)

One of the first male versions of 'the pill' was abondoned due to side effects

Not saying that side effects should be tolerated or that contraceptive options for women haven't evolved, but feel it certainly highlights some issues with women being believed when it comes to health etc too

    Just my 2c
