You can set a back story and continuously adjust the conversation. It took me some time to get used to it. It has a great RPG potential and it surprised me several times with its choices. It's not real, but it's immersive.

There's lots of PVE content in the form of dungeons, world bosses, lore to find around, people to talk, settlements to raid. There's even one location you can really raid in PVE mode that would be like a PVP raid, but I haven't tried. There has been seasonal events to add some spice as well.

Rachel Rising is another option, his take on supernatural and horror tales.
You said you liked Watchmen and I’d argue that it’s the kind of work perfect for those who love superhero comics and comics in general, which makes me think of the works of Alex Ross with Mark Waid and Paul Dini. Kingdom Come was with Mark and might be a bit DC lore heavy, but the ones written by Paul Dini focus on single heroes dealing with issues that go beyond their powers. The collected works are all in The World’s Greatest Heroes. You can choose individual ones that draw your interest.
Let’s list:
- Three by Kieron Gillen – indirect answer to 300 by Frank Miller
- The Wicked + The Divine by Kieron Gillen – gods are reincarnated every generation and now act as pop stars
- Sin City by Frank Miller – try the Hard Goodbye to get a taste and for the art at least
- Promethea by Alan Moore – Alan Moore being meta and a mystic
- Squire by Nadia Shammas, Sara Alfageeh
- The Many Deaths of Laila Starr by Ram V, Filipe Andrade - death is about to become obsolete and it’s sent to Earth to live as a human
- The Mark of Superman – what I like about the story is how there’s no Superman in it, just his symbol and what it represents
- The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon – a book about young people trying to get into the comics business

You started talking about how people ghosted you in particular before generalizing, then I see you checking users profiles to see if they fit the bill.
I'm really trying to understand. We all have an inherent need for closure that can be frustrating to be denied. You could change the question to "Does it happen to you too?" and maybe realize it's just a fact of life.

One of the complaints, if I understood correctly, is the loss of convenience. Cyclists getting closer to the pathways of other road vehicles, unable to move as freely. This I feel as a compromise that I'd get behind. Less freedom, more respect.

I believe the problem is that people don't really watch multiple good movies in sequence. And, given the option, they will go with what's familiar.
Maybe, part of the issue is the high praise for a mega franchise affects their identities. For instance, when I see someone saying Endgame is the best movie of all time, I really get confused. Any other movie before wouldn't bother me, but I just can't understand the thought. Then you have these people that dedicated their lives to the craft and now have to deal with a cultural shift nobody expected. Other parts are elitism and their egos getting hurt, and the media exposing personal opinions as grand declarations.

The Sick Woman is a disabled person who couldn’t go to the lecture on disability rights because it was held in a venue without accessibility.
The concept of invisible disability comes to mind. They are not so much invisible as just more easily ignored. Disability becomes invisible when your spaces don't allow our presence, when your activities don't accommodate our participation, when your solution is simply to fix us because you believed we are just wrong.
I knew about the reality women faced when seeking medical treatment before, but the way it was framed resonated with me even more this time. We can be oppressed in so many different ways that we get separated and forget how much society can equalize us by their mistreatment. There are so many ways of oppresing our peers that we should be vigilante not to be contributing to the wrong movement. And silencing is the sin on the menu today.
Silencing is not hearing one's story, and if we believe everyone should have a voice, we need to go after those who can't speak or find it difficult to do so instead of expecting them to show up. Make spreading other people stories part of your political acts, make them visible in the spaces you visit, in the spaces you want them to visit.

I've been thinking about the arguments that are increasingly common when dealing with tech: "it's too complicated" and "I just want something that works".
My father gifted a used computer to me and my brother when we were kids. Ours to use, ours to take care. He would pay for the eventual screw up, but we had to walk several blocks carrying the tower to get assistance.
I messed up a lot over the years, mostly because I wanted to explore the little that I knew and learn more. I had some magazines that expected everything to go well if instructions were followed and no access to internet forums to ask for help. I was limited to just one language as well. I had to find a way out. Nowadays things are much more simple and really just work, until they don't and I can't really fix them.
In this world, what people can do is complain. Or offer a report of how things went wrong and wait patiently. It's not even that common for people in general to just go back to the version that worked. There's no version, only the app we use or can't use and it's not our responsibility any kind of maintenance.
I have to confess I was going in another direction when I started, but things are really limited from a consumer's point of view. In part, it's our fault for not wanting to deal with the burden of knowledge, it inevitably takes the control away from us, but big tech really approves and incentives this behavior.
As with so many problems I see in the world, education is the solution. And educating ourselves might be the only dependable option.

I'm not sure, but the starlink part might be because they won't comply with the order to block twitter. They have to send the order to twenty thousand providers. Mine is a small one that covers only my small town and we have a few more of them. It usually takes a while to be blocked, which wouldn't matter anyway.
