What shows from the last 5 years will become classics?
I haven't watched anime in a long time (since 90s, 2000s), looking for the good stuff.

Hey all, I listen to a bunch of podcasts during my commute to/from work, and I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations for good anime podcasts?
I've already made it through All Systems Goku, which followed two of the Giant Bomb guys on their first viewing of Dragon Ball Z Kai. It was a lot of fun! There were a lot of wrestling references, all of which I didn't get, but they had a fun time.

After rewatching Evangelion on Netflix, I got in the mood for some classics. Some of my beloved old animes, like Kare Kano, Escaflowne and Fushigi Yuugi, are not available either on Netflix or Crunchyroll. So I'm curious to know from you guys which old animes (that premiered at least 20 years ago) are still a good watch. Thanks!

I usually avoid redubs, but I'm rewatching Evangelion's first two episodes on a loop to make an analysis, and I'm using the English version for practical reasons - screenshots without subtitles and following it without looking. And Misato's new voice, by Carrie Keranen, is pretty good! There's a playful melody to it that fits the character very well and contrasts with her more aggressive and introspective moments.
Sadly, I cannot say the same about the other characters. Many of the most important Evangelion lines require a certain mix of apathy and despair that only Grungie-nineties seems able to convey. And Shinji's new voice is just a childish reminder of that (I'm comparing with Japanese and Portuguese. I never saw the first English dub).

I very much enjoy the "old anime" style and space-based stories. I can't believe that I had never seen Planetes before. Are there any other less well known shows like this that you might recommend?
FYI: I have already seen the old standards such as Bebop, Trigun, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Mobile Suit Gundam, Ghost in Shell, Macross, and maybe a couple others. But this standalone universe of Planetes made me realize there may be a lot more out there of which I am unaware. Thanks!
Neon Genesis Evangelion is out on Netflix. I'm thinking to use this topic as the megathread to discuss the (re-)watch, to avoid flooding the Tildes Activity feed with one topic per episode.
To borrow a past Tildo's approach, I ask that any top-level comments contain ONLY the episode number, such as "Episode 13" and no other text.
Press the Collapse replies button, find the top-level comment for the episode you care about, and reply under that top-level comment. If there's not yet a top-level comment with that episode number, create it.

I should start by saying that I, generally, hate animes. However, for some reason, One Punch Man (OPM) is fucking awesome! I like everything about it. I find myself laughing while watching it, Saitama is hilarious.
Can you suggest me animes similar to OPM, or animes that you think I would enjoy watching?
