"Rebar" is not a word in today's pile. How do I know which words are in the pile? I would have expected all words in the Scrabble dictionary to be accepted.

Yeah this also confused me. I tried several real English words that were just rejected because they weren't in the pile.

The pile also contains misspellings (or at best distinctly regional spellings) of some terms. Conjoined with the rest, that's more than enough to turn me all the way off.

Not a fan of how it requires finding extremely obscure words to finish the game (using the grovelly Hint/Just Tell Me! mechanic), while excluding very common words that are even remotely spicy (kook, crotch, etc.). The combo of Scrabble scoring, letter management, and rotating bonus letters is nice, but the word list definitely needs work.

I liked it, but felt it could have been explained better. I played for quite a while before I got the mechanics, and didn't know I was supposed to be looking for a pangram until it was over. Maybe I just don't play enough of these word games to pick up on the pattern. 🤷‍♂️

Edit: Just saw the little question mark popup button next to the score that explains the rules. That's the part I missed. I still think that could be a little more prominent for unobservant people like me.

For me the rules explanation popped up on its own on first visit.

I got 300, I didn't super enjoy it though, not sure why as I normally like similar games. Maybe the limit on letter usage.

I'm not sure how I feel about the multiplier bonus. If you figure out the pangram, it's optimal to wait until the multiplier is on a letter that appears the most times in the word, and also wait until the pangram will "use up" as many letter uses as possible. However, it seems the multiplier chooses a letter at random, or possibly a letter you haven't used very much, so it's hard to coordinate that. Near the end, it also seemed like there wasn't always a word that I could make using that bonus (though I may have just not found it).

Yeah it just didn't land for me and maybe that was part of it too! Hard to say. But not bad

As a non-english speaker I did just over 100 and depleted good letters doing that. I can't figure any of the remaining words. Good game though!

268 pts. I never like letter/word games. Seems extra brutal when you're dealing with so few vowels.

My regular rotation is the NYT Wordle, Squardle (daily and weekly), and Gerrymandle, right now. I’ve also previously played Waffle but haven’t had it in my rotation for a bit.

You’re welcome. I’ll check out metazooa. Squardle has a challenging weekly move puzzle board that removes the gaps. The mode releases every Sunday. I’d recommend it if you want a thinker.

I liked this yesterday, but today I made the mistake of over-using r too early and then I couldn't find the pangram. Then my perfectionism froze me up and I got frustrated and gave up
