    I only skimmed through the raw responses to the original question and, indeed, there are some edge cases from countries that no longer exist. "Czechoslovakia" also got categorised as Czechia, when it could also have been Slovakia.

    Making a non-normalised version of the map would have been impossible for several reasons, but I think how we better could handle this in future surveys is e.g. "If this country no longer exists, please add its current country for the city you were born in" or something like that.

    I can see such a problem happening again in the "languages" one if you normalise by country @Bauke. E.g., if I answer "Kashubian", it might erroneously be categorised as "(standard) Polish". If I answer "Aromanian", it mighr erroneously be categorised as "Romanian", etc.

    As far as I can tell there is no nether portal. They spawn on a small platform and are pushed upwards by a water stream that has scaffolding on all sides, & then they get killed with campfires.

    I think the AFK guardian farm is kind of broken. I'd been afk there for almost 20 hours now and it produced more or less no shards even though guardians are spawning and items are flowing...

    What I'm saying is that, at least in my culture and "extended circle", that "huge" part was just not really a thing. It was never an integral part of my identity for people because there was a distinction between the person themselves as an "entity" vs their gender. My parents specifically said, among other things, "why were you even thinking this is a big deal lmao", so I just genuinely can't comprehend why it's a big deal for some people.

    Eh, I don't know... Is it? I transitioned relatively recently, and the only people for whom it didn't just "click immediately" were my grandparents, who are very old and thus their brains are not...

    It definitely should not be minimized that it's a pretty big change if it's someone you've known for years and decades that's transitioning.

Everyone else - my mom and dad, my partner, my friends, etc. pretty much just got used to it within 1-2 days.

    Nothing much on my end, honestly. I guess the only real news are that Poland finally no longer looks like an ugly floating moss platform when viewed from @Evie's base or @GravySleeve's base, as it now has a proper coastline around it. Or, well, except for where my starter base used to be, as I'll soon build a sea port there.

    I've placed over 300k moss. I'm sick of moss.

    Half-baked idea: For next season it might be worth considering whether it's possible to vibecode some solution where people can use an mc command to append their locations/lines/etc to a "staging" version of the source config for bluemap, e.g. hosted on github, where a privileged user just has to review these things periodically before merging the pull request and syncing the change to "prod"?
