Decided to try a month of membership (now that I have my own job and don't need my mom's credit card lol), and was hooked. I did take a break for a bit but came back last year. Almost done maxing my main account, also made a HCIM on the side but don't use that quite as much at the moment.
OSRS is in it's golden age. There's a lot of fresh new content that feels like it belongs in the world. There's so many fun new bosses and skilling methods that you can play the game how you want. I'm lucky enough to work from home that I can sort of AFK a lot of training methods on the side while I work. Slow and steady gains!

Facebook feeds would be only about my friends, what they were doing, I would get to chat with them, and it was just a lot more personable. Sure, there was still people tayloring their posts to create a certain image, but it was a lot more authentic than today. Now my feed is cluttered with crap from groups I never joined, people I never followed, and ads. It's not even social anymore. I literally only log on at this point for messaging with a few select people or posting pictures of hikes I do for my parents.

Discord has been a great service but I fear it will also fall to enshittificaiton at some point. I'm fairly certain it still is not profitable, and at some point that's going to come to a head the same way all these other platforms have. I'm going to enjoy it while it's good. Hoping it doesn't fall by the wayside.

That said most other quests aren't hard requirements. Leagues is all about fun. If you don't want to do the quest and it's not locking you out of content, no need to do it! You'll get enough experience points through other means.

For chicken, not sure if you've tried it or not but highly recommend getting a mallet to pound out the chicken breast beforehand if you're cooking it normally on a stove/in a pan. Butterfly it first, pound it out flat so it's all mostly the same thickness, then lightly flour each side and cook it in some regular vegetable oil on the stove. Has been working great for me recently.

Either way if under load it's only a 60c you are doing quite well. Pretty sure most don't start throttling until they get to like 78-80c.

I have zero regrets about it, but I was also not tied down in any way to the midwest. I have visited Vancouver, it's a gorgeous area of the country, especially if you like the outdoors/mountains.
In terms of meeting new friends, other than through work I'd say the biggest thing is to have hobbies. There's meetup apps that you can use to find groups of similar hobbies, but try to look up local groups such as people who get together for board games, trivia nights, intramural sports, hiking groups, things like that. It's a big city and really the best way to meet new people is through shared experience.
It can be scary going out on your own for the first time, especially that far away. Put yourself out there and find group activities you like to do, you are bound to meet others with similar interests that you can bond with. For me that was primarily through playing ice hockey, I've met so many great people just through playing the sport I love.
Also doesn't hurt to try out a new hobby. Odds are there are groups or classes that are designed for beginners where you will be fumbling through it with other people who are in the same boat as you. Could be anything like the learn to play/skate hockey classes they have here, beginner pottery class, cooking class, dance class, there's so many things you could try.
Overall I have zero regrets from the move, but I also am someone who can be quite comfortable on their own for periods of time and I wasn't a fan of the midwest. I wanted the mountains and the outdoors. I didn't mind the rain in the winter, I preferred green and rainy over dry and brown/dead. That's one more thing, make sure you're ok with rain/overcast, because it's overcast up here for a large portion of the year. Some people can handle it, others get seasonal affective disorder. It's definitely a different feel, so just keep that in mind.
Happy to answer any other questions!

Lot of things I can think of, I'm sure inflation is a big part of that, even if it wasn't Biden's fault and that he handled it decently well.
I think that at the end of the day, what I have never understood, and don't think I will ever understand, is how so many people can stand behind such a wretched human being. He's a textbook narcissist, wants only what's best for himself and doesn't care if it harms others along the way, constantly paints anyone who doesn't agree with him as the devil reincarnate, does nothing but spew vile things, rambles incoherently with the vocabulary of a 10 year old, and is just a petulant manchild. Like if it was the democrat's candidate that behaved that atrociously, I would never be able to support them on a fundamental human level. The fact that so many people not only enable this behavior in what is supposed to be the most dignified job in the country/world, but actively praise his behavior just absolutely boggles my mind and honestly just makes me so damn sad. So many people praising the worst qualities in humans.

Rhythm game is honestly the best way to describe it. It's different than a lot of other games because of the tick system where game actions are refreshed basically every 0.6 seconds (one tick). Once you understand that it's a rhythm game a lot of content because a lot easier because you can get in a groove and time things properly. It's basically just keeping a beat.
