But there are definitely some low cost options this year!

Hot tip, spatchcock the turkey. Better than any fried turkey or special brine I've had. It just keeps the breast from drying out too much so it isn't overcooked.

Smoking is the superior way to cook a Turkey, spatchcocked or otherwise. I will die on this hill. Deep fried is second.

I cannot speak to smoking as I don't have a smoker, but a roast spatchcocked turkey is already top tier. I only like dark meat usually but not only will I eat the turkey breast on the bird my partner (and now I) make, we usually buy a second turkey cheap to make on a random weekend for fun.

I tend to find smoked meat overdone to my taste but I won't claim expertise. I find deep fried deeply overrated and mostly a fire hazard.

I'm sure everyone is happy big daddy Bezos is going to give them a discount on one meal a year. Thank you, Bezos!

With how midterms are going, this feels a little like old man Scrooge quickly dishing out Christmas hams to avoid an uprising.
