The Cannes Film Festival is in May and I thought we should find four movies related to Cannes to watch in May. Maybe a bit of a risk since it isn't exactly full of well known mainstream movies, but I promise there is more to choose from than French arthouse movies. The criteria is simple, the movie must have been presented at the Cannes Film Festival at some point.

Last week I was looking for a movie to watch and I realized that I have a lot of movies that I want to watch, but I never do. There are also a lot of really popular films I've never seen. To get around this, I started making a list. I then realized that I have made lists before and they just don't work for this.

My solution was to add it all to my calendar. Every Tuesday and Thursday I've got a pre-selected movie to watch... and I will be watching whether I want to or not, assuming I'm not busy.

Anyhoo, I figured I'd share the list and dish out some well-wishes to those in a similar situation. I've seen a few of these, but its been so long that its worth a rewatch.

Next up is The Silence of the Lambs from 1991 starring Jodie Foster. The movie won five major academy awards for Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Picture.

For example, every so often (maybe every year or two) a local theater will do a showing of Lawrence of Arabia on 70mm film.
