Americans are feeling powerless to thwart the Trump administration’s assault on our nation’s values. Praised by tech CEOs, surrounded by sycophants, and enriched by his return to the White House, the president’s actions march on unchecked. Americans, however, have a powerful weapon that has been hiding in plain sight.
First, we must recognize that the president is unfazed by citizen outrage, the courts, or the media. He responds to one thing: the market. The most potent weapon to resist the administration is a targeted, month-long national economic strike — a coordinated campaign that attacks tech companies and firms enabling ICE — to inflict maximum damage with minimal impact on consumers. In sum, the shortest path to change without hurting consumers is an economic strike targeted at the companies driving the markets and enabling our president.

I was able to quickly and easily ditch my Apple and Kindle Unlimited subscriptions following the links, though I've managed to live without most of the other things and can't vouch for their ease of cancellation. Sadly, I can't cancel my Internet service, but there will still be an impact if this grows enough.
My only subscription is for Runescape which is apparently owned by “CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII and Haveli Investments” (Wikipedia) No idea if cancelling my membership would help here, never...

No idea if cancelling my membership would help here, never heard of that company.
Edit this ownership history is kinda nuts, I didn’t know that Jagex was being passed around like a hot potato every couple years, the game seems to be doing so well.
It's not uncommon for a game company that is profitable to be bought and sold by bigger companies that want to tap into that profit, then drop it when they find a bigger return. If it's happened a...

I would happily disengage from most of these that I'm currently dealing with, but some (Eg Google) are necessary for work.

He's said on a recent podcast this isn't necessarily aimed at people who don't have or can't afford alternatives. He's also said this isn't designed to be a long-term thing, his reasoning/hope is if enough people do it for a month or two, their CEOs will notice and they have the ear of Trump.
Moodys claims the 10% of earners account for almost 50% of discretionary consumer spending in the US right now. Those are people who could very easily cut/replace a few services and barely notice a difference in their quality of life.

I'm not able to get off Microsoft or Google even if I quit both for personal use, but the stores and other businesses are helpful

I haven't bought anything there that I could get elsewhere since they made the bad decisions about LGBTQ+ and minority merchandise, but I'm about to switch my prescriptions away from CVS pharmacy so that I no longer have any reason to enter the local Target store. [Also, CVS has its own problems - they've gotten much worse at managing prescription refills and insurance since the Change Healthcare cyberattack last year, and I'm just fed up.]
Edit: Also, for U.S. business travel, the Marriott and Hilton hotel chains are your only choices due to their locations, pricing strategy, and travel agency relationships. I haven't stayed at a Marriott location voluntarily since they backed anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, but can't avoid both Marriott and Hilton.

Yeah I similarly don't shop at target since the pulling of the pride merch. But my CVS is right by my work and my small town doesn't have a pharmacy (the next one over does and delivers but not my Adderall so that's not helpful) plus the pharmacist actually knows me which is wild.
I don't have any of these subscriptions. Am I already unwittingly resisting? Though I do shop at Lowes Hardware now and again, and wasn't aware of them using license plate readers.

Last time I did digging (which was admittedly a while ago) between Lowes and Home Depot, Lowes was the better choice from a social standpoint. Even Ace and Menard's were kinda... shrug.

Ace has one advantage of it being a very loose franchise. Some of the local Ace locations to me are more of a mom+pop family owned store that is technically an Ace franchise than a true ace store....

I prefer to use Menard's when possible because they're... Somewhat more local than Lowe's and HD, plus I vastly prefer the experience of being in the store (customer service, selection, organization, etc). But also, Menard's isn't a 100% direct comparison to HD or Lowe's, and I do find myself having to choose one of those on occasion.
Interestingly I'm already disconnected from basically everything they mention, except for Comcast/Xfinity - which is the de facto sole internet service provider in my area.

I'll see if I can help with what most people already here probably know, but just in case they don't, here's a few I'm aware of. My idea is that some people won't stop if it's too much of an inconvenience or burden, so this is a half measure on how to keep using these services to get similar experiences without paying them, for those not aware. Yes, it's not necessarily the most ethical way to unsubscribe, but if some can't quit cold turkey then a half measure is better than nothing at all.
Want to cancel Youtube Premium, still use Youtube but not watch ads?
Sideload SmartTube on Android TV, myriad of Android TV hardware options if you don't already have them, including ONN 4k plus TV device for $30 from Walmart. I checked the list and Walmart isn't on it, which doesn't necessarily mean Walmart isn't part of the problem, but for this specific movement anyhow it isn't in conflict. Yes, Google probably makes money off this device for data collection at the least since it's using their software as the OS, but they also likely make some money from data collecting of using Youtube for free as well. Furthermore, you can get Projectivy Launcher and hide the Google Launcher to get rid of much of the home screen advertising.
Sideload ReVanced Manager and patch Youtube Music app on your Android phone. Most of Youtube Music features without the ads.
Sideload Tubular or PipePipe on Android as an alternative Youtube player without ads. Some functionality is broken so it's not a perfect replacement.
Avoid Microsoft Office somewhat by using CryptPad https://cryptpad.fr
(There's a few online office options if you want to dig around, LibreOffice is still kicking around for a local install I believe, I haven't followed closely for feature parity etc. comparisons).
I realize that some of these suggestions don't support the artists which many would not be in favor of, but the goal of this is stated to be temporary and to send a message to the big corps that supporting authoritarian regimes isn't without potential consequence.
FWIW, I've bounced around between Android YouTube clients for a bit and am currently settled on NewPipe, which is great. This is anecdata, but it's extremely rare that I have any issues with it at...

FWIW, I've bounced around between Android YouTube clients for a bit and am currently settled on NewPipe, which is great. This is anecdata, but it's extremely rare that I have any issues with it at all, and when I do, simply closing and re-opening the app often fixes them. IME it's very much "it just works", no fiddling with host selection when one stops responding for whatever reason. And you can customize it to only show you your subscription feed and nothing else.

I'd be utterly delighted if I never had to touch another Microsoft product for the rest of my life, but work. 🤷♀️

My choices are basically Spectrum cable, AT&T DSL, Verizon 5G, or Starlink. Dirty hands or unusable service.

If you're doing ReVanced for music, you might as well also patch regular YouTube through ReVanced.
